Well I have posted on This problem 2 or 3 times. It seems LOTRO once again has messed up the drop rates on common flax. and possibly other as well. Yesterday I farmed 300 rowen logs killed dwarfs goblins and brigadans and managed to get 3 whole common flax fibers. &&& !!! I must have found 50 heavy rowen wood pile and not 1 gave up a single flax. but yet almost every tin of copper mine gave up crit item or a jems
I just don't understand how they manage to mess the simple thing up time and time again. by time I can get enough Common flax to make a set of armour I already need bree flax. Most times it takes about 15 common flax for a set of 12 level armour. But yet not one time can I get it before I don't need it.
So yesterday I ran all of Ered Luin, Shire and part of Bree yet I only got 3 common flax and now my toon is 18th level. woot this is such Bs to say the least but I did get 25 grey rock salt 33 crude brimstone and 27 sticky resin.
This is really burning my tukus !! For while it did get better but its never so much as even come close to all other forms of crit items I even got more shards than flax.
Now I am up around 100 toons and 3 accounts. Eveny time I start out on a new server it seems to be this way. So every time I end u running around in my green armour but have no trouble to get my ctit mats for weapons,
I mean look at this, the average toon needs 2 weapons 3 if your a hunter but you need 7 for a basic armour set. So this means you neen 3 times the amount of flax then u do all other crit inged. but yet it seems LOTRO time and time again set these drop rates bakwards to say the least.
Could someone please explain to me why his has been such a mess for the last year 1/2 that I have been playing and if you look back thru old theads threads it almost been going on since the game was born.
Now I am pretty sure if you just tripled the common flax drops so that peps have 12 level critted armour at level really should not have some major ill affect on game balance. really now.
Funny but the same problem is with the drop rates of 12 level tailor recipes so here again I got 2 tailor scolls all day yesterday but hay it was really great to get 15 pea green wall paint for a scholar 12 metalsmith scrolls 14 jeweller. 11 woodworker 16 weaponsmith. so here again same problem.
I mean one look in the AH and a blind man could see there is a problem with tailor scolls when the first 3 tiers have nothing in them and if there is you can see 12 recipes for the tailor sell for 175 to 1 gold and the same level jewller recipes selling for 15 silver.
12 level taior recipes need to start droping right from the start of the game so a person has a chance to actully make 12 level armour at 12 and this is true all the way up the ladder.
Take Forochel the armor you can craft from favor there could never be til you almost done the the area and have long outleveled it usefullnesss or you can backfeed rep items with a higerlevel toon. Almost every area in the game is like this
Now this does not need a degree in maketing to see there is a major unbalance !!
Come on LOTRO balance these drop rates to it makes sence. Or at least for palces like Forochel allow players to disable XP so you would have time to earn the favor and make the armour to use it there
I would really like a answer from someone that Works for LOTRO everyones input is welcome but but a answer from someone like Sapience or QuartermasterU would be best please I know u guys are busy but this has gone on too long.
