Can't buy ingame Turbine points since Steam is now priced in Brazilian Reais!

I bet this is affecting all Brazilian players since Steam changed it's currency method to Brazilian Reais and now we, Brazilian players are receiving the "(ERR-19)" whenever attempting to buy Turbine Points from the ingame Store, option that I've always opted instead that getting the code from the site.

While I'm waiting the "You should contact Steam support" from Turbine, I'd like to let them aware of this if they weren't already.

    Ingame Store prices:
    http://www.lotro.com/lotrostorepoints

    Lotro Market prices:

Steam announcement to change the currency to Brazilian Reais:

I'd like to know if anyone is having the same issue and if there is a workaround for this. One option that comes to mind is copying the game data to outside steam and see if the ingame Store redirects me to Turbine's directly, where I could use my International Credit Card instead.

I run a Steam install of LotRo, but I just launch the launcher
from within the steam directory directly, without having Steam
active. According to Steam I haven't played for a few months .

You could try that yourself and see if it corrects the problem.

That's quite funny actually, is steam located in Brazil or is that where all there revenue comes from? I think neither.

Thank you for the tip. I just did the same procedure and it is asking for my payment method (international credit card/paypal) instead. I have not gone all the way through the end but seems like this is the way to go. I just started the launcher from the \Steam\steamapps\common\lord of the rings online folder but Steam is still running in the background.

No and no. Steam is located in US (I think) and they now use a local company to do the money conversion from US Dollars to BR Reais.
