    Populating the Quest Tracker

Is there any way to stop "Tasks" from populating the tracker other than the option to not automatically move ANYTHING to the tracker?

There should be an option in the UI settings on the option panel for that!

That's what I thought too. But, aside from "automatically fill quest tracker" there is not an option specifically for Tasks.

    Nope.

Suggestion: don't take tasks til you're ready to turn them in

I always just "lock" 5x quests that I am doing at the time . wont matter if your only doing the task´s.

Manually lock the five Deeds, Quests or Tasks in the tracker. You could like a lot of people including Yula, collect the task items, go to to the Task Board, take Task, Turn in Task.

It would be nice if Turbine got around to providing a Task radio button like they did for Deeds. It probsbly more complicated because Tasks are part of the Quest system. One reason I do not take Tasks is that they consume valuable Quest slots in my log.
Unless stated otherwise, all content in this post is My Personal Opinion.

One good way is to bind a key to the tracker so by pressing it you'll get the closest active quest on your tracker.

Would definitely like to see tasks being excluded as well. I pick up some quests, I forgot to flip them off and on (because you shouldn't have to), I kill some mobs, and... Oh, great, I see 5 tasks >_>

In fact, even better would be this: quests in the quest tracker should never turn themselves off. Not even for other quests. After all, generally the quests you got first are the quests you want to do first (there are plenty of exceptions, but it's more often true than vice-versa).
