My Champion on her heavy class warsteed, Slingshot.
I was looking to capture the image of a more practical, travel and battle ready mount that would fit a more mercenary-type fighter.
For those interested, equipment and dyes/colors are as follows:
Head: Light Halter of the Sutcrofts (grey dye)
Body: Hunter's Caparison (black dye)
Legs: Light Leggings of the Entwash (grey dye)
Tail: Simple Tail (sooty)
Skin: Brindle Warsteed (black chestnut)
Saddle: Light Saddle of the Entwash
Gear: Hunter's Gear (occasionally swapped with the Orc head on a Pike, when I feel in a more gruesome mood)

I'm not the lotro-guru I once was.. So a quick question; If you buy a mount from the lotro store, you get the cosmetics for the war-steed. But is it only for the class-mounts or -all- store mounts? (well maybe not the goats, but horses at least)

I've always wanted a proper buckskin mount in-game; now I have one!
Saddle/halter/blanket/accessories all come from the Steed of The Hunter.
Hide: Dappled, dyed brown (from the 'blond' set of hide dyes)
Mane and tail dyed black.
I recently changed out the Hunter's blanket with the Light Caparison of the Norcrofts and dyed that brown; it looks amazing.
It wouldn't be LotRO without players complaining about gifts.

Vilya's Ambassador of Happiness, Goodwill, and Fuzzy Kittens' and Somesuch!

Photo was done at Tinnudir, beautiful place imo.
The war steed appearance matches with my own cosmetics, fingersnapz for twinsies!! Am I right?! >.>
Halter: Hunters halter
Caparison: Hunters caparison
Leggings: Hunters leggings
Saddle: Hunters saddle
Accessory: King banners accessory
Tail and Body: Black
Head: Lesser arrow of the west helmet
Shoulders: Far-arrows shoulders
Chest: Lesser arrow of the west breast-ist's plate
Leggings: Trousers of Amaruith
Feet: Boots of the Ruithador
Hands: Gloves of Amaruith
Cloak: Commanders Cloak
Here is my Warsteed
I am using saddlebags that I got from a lootbox, the Plain Black Saddle, Spotted Warsteed, and the rest is the Wintry Yule set.

I made another warsteed! This one doesn't have a name (yet) though. But I like the simple coloring and outfitting of it. I might use the idea for my hunter when she's old enough to have a warsteed.
Solid Warsteed Hide - dark chestnut
Simple Tail - black
Burglar's Caparison and Leggings - both black
More pictures here!
I'm saving up for this one:

They say that owners often look like their dogs. The same appears to be true for war steeds.

Hobbit Hunter on Swifty.
Warden wearing Orthanc Warden Armor on (Medium War-Steed) Steed of the Khundolar, plain hide, dyed black. The leggings, pad beneath the saddle, and small bits on the halter come purple, but I dyed them olive. The green blanket with the double-gold stripes is undyable. I added the short armored tail (I think that's what it's called), but you can't see it that well in the picture I took. I haven't found any gear that matches well, so I've gone without for now. I really, really like this steed. It fits my character, who is from Harad (even though the steed is technically Easterling in theme).
The New cosmetic set, Steed of the Nightwood:
Body: Halter of the Nightwood (Forest Green)
Legs: Leggins of the Nightwood (Forest Green)
Saddle: Saddle of the Nightwood
Head: Caparison of the Nightwood (Forest Green)
Tail: Diamond banded tail (comes with the Nightwood set)
Hide, mane & tail are dyed black
I think the set up seems believable of an Elf from Greenwood the Great
Leather tail was a lootbox drop,
elven halter from lottery,
heavy caparison and leggins of the norcrofts, all died indigo.
Steed is spotted, without any dye.
(bad quality of screenshots is caused by my laptop)
Seems to fit to elf guardian.
