I'm quite fond of these...
For riding around the country side picking flowers and such.
For going to WAR!
I posted pics of me in my Forochel heavy armor on my war steed with the bone set, but something seemed to be missing for me. I dyed the horse and trim black for the proper look. Put on my boney looking armor and yet, something wasn't right...
I finally figured it out. LEGS!!! There were lower legs and then ribs, with nothing in between. Until now, that is... Now, "she's got legs... and she knows how to use them!"
All it took was a new hide and the black dye I already owned... Looks much better now...
I thoroughly enjoyed this thread and all the awesome pictures. I had to include my new war-steed.
He has on the tabiano skin tinted dark brown.
Short fluffed tail.
Hunter steed gear tinted red to match outfit.
well matched horse and rider
a match for the infamous yellow dye!
no good for camouflage, good to stand out in a crowd
warsteed has the yule cosmetic set yellow dyed, simple hide flaxen chestnut, mane and tail copper
elf has the gossamer dress yellow dyed, hoodless cloak of elf-lord red dyed

My newest war-steed outfit.
I have dreams of creating many rugged-style Hunter outfits, but need to come up with more ideas first. :P

Saddle : Reveller's Gilded Saddle

The Reveller's outfit is one of the most awesome things I have ever seen. Whoa.
Someone post a picture of anniversary warsteed though, so I can cry for having to wait 3 more years

I fell in love with the Dagorlad set...here's a couple of shots. Especially love the daggers
This is just a combination of (mostly) the Warden steed + the Guardian steed (legs).
Spotted warsteed skin in default grey.
Short metalic tail, Survivalist's gear.
Tail/mane is dyed Red Roan.
And, since i'm curious as to where others in this thread are taking their screenshots, this was taken at Harndirion (in Enedwaith).
Here's the new summer festival caparison dyed blue to match my outfit.
And here it is in black.
Here's two shots of me taking advantage of the broken red caparison...
Because every day is a good day to wear purple!
I wasn't planning on buying Ellonur another store steed since he already has so many war steed cosmetics, but - the new Steed of Esgaroth is PURPLE! And you can dye the non-purple bits! Of course I couldn't resist once I saw that. I think this is going to stay a favorite for quite some time.
Esgaroth Caparison, dyed purple
Esgaroth Leggings, dyed purple
Braided Flower Tail
Hide, mane and tail dyed white
Circlet of Fresh-picked Flowers
Cloak of the Dragonfly
Jacket of the Woods
Ceremonial Leggings of the Seven Stars
-> all dyed purple

This feels a bit boring compared to everyone else's in this thread, but I might as well.
I like the idea of the books, where Legolas rides without saddle or harness; the only thing was that I love my steed (Celefan; a silver cloud) so much that I ride constantly and started to feel sorry for my elf's booty. So he has a little traveling saddle.
In other news, I won my third out of three kin races earlier today, so you know Celefan and I are pretty hardcore speedsters.
EDIT: also, these pictures are old... don't mind the second age bow... pay no attention to the wet noddle...
