I will give it away so the game can continue.

It is the welcoming of the hobbits by Tom and Goldberry.

It is gollum yes i can't say no to that so I'll give it away. he has been held captive twice, Second time Turning him over, what answer i was looking for is when Aragorn found Gollum in the dead marshes and gave to gandalf which they turned him over to Thranduil where he was held captive.

    That's it!
Ohtar was Isildur's squire. Isildur commanded him to take the shards and flee when they were attacked at the Gladden Fields. Ohtar and a companion made their way to Rivendell and delivered the shards to Elrond.

    Your turn Jamu.

    Hmm, let me see.

    Kinslayers "adopted" us.

Well, if Kinslayers are the Noldor then a couple of folks (men) that were adopted by them were:

    1. Tuor (adopted by Turgon in Gondolin in the First Age)
    2. Aragorn (adopted by Elrond in Rivendell in the Third Age)

Methinks there are others also, but I'll just start with these for now.
PS: I also realize that Elrond cannot really be considered a "kinslayer", but Oh well, It is part of the interstreamingthingamabob now.....

Those fit the adoption part much better than who I'd thought of, but you're close. It's less "adopted" and more "us." (And kinslayers of course)

The Edain (or first men) were adopted by the Noldor when they first came into the west of middle-eath.

You know I never realized that there were so many possible valid answers. A hint: Two brothers.
