I just re-installed game (up to Mirkwood) a few days ago...and reactivated my VIP account (that whole account deal was rather confusing after being gone and come back to find f2p, premium, and VIP). After reading the forum posts and after just a few hours in game so far...I have to say the community on Imaldris seems outstanding. Hopefully I can find my niche' (?) here. My question or concern is:
I'm not a hardcore gamer...I play for a few hours on nights my wife is a work. Will this 'hinder' any potential 'standing' in the community as far as community events, fellowships, kinships, and raids on this server?
I use Nyago (Hobbit - Warden) to solo... and, I have Wharin, a Dwarf minstrel (I enjoy supporting/healing - just not sure if I'm good enough to help out folks yet, and past experiences w/ some unpleasant folks who unfortunately died in battle led me to drop my minstrel on other server previously), and Archam (Human - Captain), and an elf RK whose name I can't remember at the moment.
Regardless, I love being back and hopefully some folks can help (help - not give me free 'stuff' and try to 'power level' my characters. I enjoy the game too much and don't want to miss out on storylines, interesting quests & tasks, and people to 'rush' through and I like to 'earn' what I have for each character as much as possible) me to become a better minstrel, RK, or captain so I can assist good folks from time to time...and from what I've read, they've changed up some things with Wardens so I could use my Warden as more of a DPS rather than off-tank crowd control if needed.
(sorry, I wasn't sure if it was lame to post a 'new player' topic on forums...but figured what the heck...seems like a decent way to 'meet' some folks)
