(Returning player - after 2+ years away) new to Imaldris

I just re-installed game (up to Mirkwood) a few days ago...and reactivated my VIP account (that whole account deal was rather confusing after being gone and come back to find f2p, premium, and VIP). After reading the forum posts and after just a few hours in game so far...I have to say the community on Imaldris seems outstanding. Hopefully I can find my niche' (?) here. My question or concern is:
I'm not a hardcore gamer...I play for a few hours on nights my wife is a work. Will this 'hinder' any potential 'standing' in the community as far as community events, fellowships, kinships, and raids on this server?

I use Nyago (Hobbit - Warden) to solo... and, I have Wharin, a Dwarf minstrel (I enjoy supporting/healing - just not sure if I'm good enough to help out folks yet, and past experiences w/ some unpleasant folks who unfortunately died in battle led me to drop my minstrel on other server previously), and Archam (Human - Captain), and an elf RK whose name I can't remember at the moment.

Regardless, I love being back and hopefully some folks can help (help - not give me free 'stuff' and try to 'power level' my characters. I enjoy the game too much and don't want to miss out on storylines, interesting quests & tasks, and people to 'rush' through and I like to 'earn' what I have for each character as much as possible) me to become a better minstrel, RK, or captain so I can assist good folks from time to time...and from what I've read, they've changed up some things with Wardens so I could use my Warden as more of a DPS rather than off-tank crowd control if needed.

(sorry, I wasn't sure if it was lame to post a 'new player' topic on forums...but figured what the heck...seems like a decent way to 'meet' some folks)

    Welcome!

Welcome to Imladris! I have found it to be a really nice place. If you are at all interested in joining a nice kinship, I would recommend Defenders of Serenity. (See the website at www.defendersofserenity.guildportal.com for more info.) It is a small kinship, but has people who are fun to talk to and good at answering questions.

Welcome on the Imladris server! its always good to see new faces joining our small and rather nice community.

I can help you with becoming a *better minstrel* if you see me ingame or reply on this thread . I have healed several raids/skirmish raids solo without anyone dying. If you have questions about minstrels/healing just ask .

Welcome to the server! I don't think it's hard to get involved as a casual player. Hope to see you around!

Welcome back, a casual player is just fine. Also, PVP in the Moors is free as a reaver, it's brutal out there, so if you try that...be aware youll get killed often at first for certain. I do hope you check that out as well.
I'd ask you if you got the point....but the feathered shaft tells me you did.

Welcome to Imladris! As I'm sure you've found, pretty much everyone here is nice. We're quiet, but we're good folk. If you are interested in light RP, you can check out the Saturday Night Social. People typically show up and just chat, hang out, what not. It's a good way to meet some folks.
But, as others have said, casual player types are just fine here. I'm sure you will do well! Cheers!

    Thumbs up

Hey there, and welcome to the server! Starting out and relearning a class after it changes can be difficult, so it is always good to ask for help. If you need someone to raid with or help you do some quests, send me a PM on the forums and I'll tell you who I play. I assure you we'll have a great time!

See you around Imladris. Happy questing!

Welcome to Imladris. No worries about being casual... You should probably participate in group activities if you want to have a "standing" in the community, but that is pretty unofficial here, and some kins will want you to play within time increments to avoid having dead accounts in membership, but I haven't leveled up my "main" character in months! As for PvP, avoid the reaver if you can, (If you want to try it go ahead, you might have a little fun.) create ANOTHER warg for an easier PvP experience, create some other class for a different one. Good luck.

    - Welcome back.
    - Your toon names appear in your sig.
    - Class forums can also be used if you need particular help.
    - One thing you may find, there are a number of people who, for various reasons, tend to solo things more so getting groups, while possible, doesn't always happen.
    - I think Imladris is a fine server and hope you enjoy your time playing.
