  1. Moors captain sets

I'm sure this has been covered before, but I am just returning to the game. I was going to get armour sets after ROR, but I am accumulating too many coms, so...

    Three perseverence and three ?

    Which pieces for perseverence?

I'm sure somebody has done a spread sheet!

    Red face

Depends on what you are doing in the moors. I have most of the armor for all 3 sets. I put them on my item bars and switch them out for different situations. The main thing I have been running around with in the moors is 2 pieces of each set, thats if I am running solo (works well with duo as well if the creeps are smart and try to take you out before the hunter or rk you have with you. extra 700ish tact mit is nice. Tons of people will disagree with it, but I do just fine. I also like to run with 3 pers and 3 command. If soloing 5 command 1 loyalty or pers, depends on what you prefer. I dont have the command helm or the loyalty helm which leaves me with the pers helm which sucks because it doesnt have finesse on it. With the evade pots the creeps have, it makes for a frustrating fight, so thats my next one. If doing 1v1, 5 command and 1 loyalty is nice because of the sure strike damage output, will help your healing a tad if they are marked with RM.

Or you can just buy the minimum amount to where you dont go over since RoR is coming out soon.

Sorry no spreadsheet to post, or anything, just what I have found to be useful. It really depends on the situation.

If doing PVE raids, or 6-mans, 3-pers and 3 loyalty is nice because of the 6s RC and decreased rez CD. If you also have 5 command then when fighting a boss you are providing a constant +15% incoming damage to the boss. Just a side note, but as far as I am concerned they should take whatever the increase in damage to a boss is after the debuff is applied and whatever that damage is, be awarded towards the captain's DPS; after all it never would have happened without the cappy.

My inclination is for a combination of PvE and PvP it is good to have:

    3 Perseverence
    5 Command

If you can get more, great. But the 3 perserverence is great for both PvP (group fights spamming RC) and PvE. For single target raid level PvE the Command 5 piece is awesome, and in PvP it helps drop Tyrants quickly.

I personally went with Perseverence Chest, Legs, and Boots. Don't remember which 5 of Command I have, but it includes the helmet, gauntlet, shoulders. I chose the Pereverence ones because they went best with the 3 dagor I like to use with them. In moors I've been running 3 Perseverence, 3 Command...

    There is a spreadsheet here:

Just keep in mind that there is no finesse on the perseverance set so adjust accordingly for what ever you intend to build for. If you had to have 3 from that set you could always get 3 from command or loyalty that have finesse.

If you're a moors raider, pick up 3-loyalty/3-pers

Command set is awesome too, just not for moors raids.

While in general 5 Command isn't very good for PvP raids (targets change lots due to bubbles/etc), it is great for playing "drop the tyrant fast" when trying to ninja a keep... 3 pieces of Command isn't that bad, either. Partially depends on how many total pieces you plan on going for.

I prefer 3-Command/3-Perserverance. ~4 mins off of Last Stand is preferable to me over ~5-6? mins off of EfD. Especially when soloing. EfD is nearly useless, unless you have a group. I also sometimes run with 5 Perseverance when my group is set on DPS for the slow removals. It's nice for getting a group through spider poop when you're chasing people down or trying to get away.

You did read i was talking about moors raids right? Also it knocks off 7.5 mins from EfD, allowing for 2.5 min rez. Very useful in long-running RvR fights.

Good point about the 5-pers set bonus though.
