    Although I skimmed through this thread and saw some really good ideas, I didn't read all of it. Why? Because pvmp isn't anywhere near high on Turbine's list. They've chosen to neglect it, and as a result people have left and continue to leave. Sure more come in, but from what I have seen it's not enough to balance out the #s that have left.

    I truly admire your desire to change the moors and make it more... well... more anything. More engaging, more entertaining, more fun, more challenging, anything. And if Turbine (or whatever company that owns them) was smart, they'd read your ideas and engage with players to try to fix this game. But I fear that the chance to actually fix this game has long passed.

    Good luck with trying to get them to listen to ideas and act on them. I gave up long ago.

    look lets settle this right now so we can all go back to our lives.
    the OP is delusonal if he thinks Turbine will even read this thread. it wont happen and we all know it. they will never put much effort into PvMP and we will all feel better if we just accept that and move on.
    now then lets just get on with our lives shall we?

    Wait, what?

    Lives?

    What are those?

    We play MMO's and post on the related forums. Almost by definition, we have no lives.

    there is a slim differance between playing an MMO and having no lives. WoW die-hards for example live in their little fantasy 24-7, they have no lives. We have jobs and responsobilaties that keep us from becoming like that. we have lives, we just play the game to forget/ignore for a little while.

    Wait. You mean all those hours I spend in the depths of the Gramsfoot Operations Center handling technical issues for Sauron's supercomputer, earning the coin I spend on Wargie Snax (tm), counts as life?

    Who'd have thunk it?

    Yes to this

    The only reason I posted this is cause I was bored and started thinking about how lame the moors was ATM and how the open world pvmp stuff kept coming up.

    Wouldn't it be easier to all go to GW2? The works all done there and they actually seem to care about PvP.

    I commend the OP, you have obviously put a lot of thought and work into this. I had a similar idea with PvP server/charactor copy.

    Easier? Perhaps. Better? That depends on what you want out of your game. I suspect most LoTRO players are here for a combination of reasons, with "good PvP" not being high on the list. If PvP is your reason to play, then yes. Going to a more focused game may be a good idea. But if you're here for the lore, the story, the world, then no. Going to another game is not going to be the ticket.

    Can already imagine 200 hunters sitting stealthed on bree auction hall roof waiting for a poor low rank to show up on their tracking range.
    Thanks but no thanks

    As part of wishfull thinking:
    - every location (like Bree, Angmar, Mirkwood, Dunland etc) on the current map could be a separate access points not related to each other;
    - every location to have its limits of max players per fraction (i.e. if max is reached, new participants cant load into this specific location and have to choose different one); limits can be different depending on location size;
    - every current server`s GV and Grams to have respective number of ports/access points/gates to PVP world locations;
    - upon log off every player is returned to his original server.

    This would keep numbers under controll and ensure people are spread out enough.

    This would be so awesome.. So... Awesome.. If we all would make a single 30-50$ payment, would Turbine do it? I would love this sooo much, really. I hope this comes true some day. Imagine massive battles in Moria, Isengard, Bree, the Shire.. I know we have had an Codemasters event, where we were fighting in Bree against NPCs and a GM, there were Nazgûl and other monsters. Why would creeps be impossible? Again, love it! Please make our dream come true Turbine!
