Quite handy, thanks. I usually just google locations and that works but these also point out where to find mobs etc. which is a nice touch.

The only thing missing is, some locations I know where they are but not how to get to them due to terrain blocking passage. For instance in the Misty Mountains there's one or two 'high places' I just can't seem to figure out how to get to. A line with arrows indicating the route would help a lot.

    Still and all, very good.

These are nice maps, thank you for the hard work. Takes a lot of guess work out of figuring what goes where, trying to match up deed logs with the wiki, etc.

I wonder if this should be moved and pinned onto the deeds forum? I'm afraid it might sink down fast on this forum.

Wow! You're making quick work of these! Very nice.

Since I'm an altoholic and have run literally dozens of characters through the starter areas, I know them like the back of my hand (I could probably run them in my sleep), hence my suggestions in those areas. The higher level maps I've only run a relatively few through, so suggestions will be rare from me there (for now ).

With that said, a few more...
    • On the Ered Luin map, Wolves (28) could be added to the area west-southwest of Gondolan, just west of and right beside Clovenvale in Rath Teraig. That area is a great place to go when Nen Hilith is crowded. I've completed quite a few Wolf deeds in that area rather quickly with my Dwarves without ever going south.
    • You might want to keep/add the stables on the maps to help newer players, who aren't yet familiar with the regions, figure out the quickest routes to the areas, plus they give a nice point of reference on the map, something quickly recognizable by anyone who has ever looked at an LOTRO map.
Great work Whiteberry. These are real time-savers.

    Thumbs up

Ive been aware of several locations to find information for deeds, but these look to be very good. Especially as there isn't extra information cluttering stuff up.

    Nice job.

Good idea to move it to the deeds forum. I'll do that. I think it's a bit random what gets pinned, but at least I can create a new thread and update the progress there.
    Thanks.

Updated list of finished maps moved to the forum deed section here.

Thanks again - this is a great help. I'll add the wolves - and good idea with the stables/campfires. I think I did it on some of the maps, but not all, so will fix that :)

    Awesome maps +rep

On the Evendim map, when doing the salamander slayer, I've found that I much prefer going to the island Tyl Ruinen as they are clustered together nicely there.

It is up with horse routes etc. If you refresh when you load the map, it should come

Ah! Thanks Whiteberry. That was odd. The others were fine, just ND decided to make me look stupid.

    These are fabulous!!!

I've used the dynamics maps for a while but always found them so busy and too informed.

These are just right and would have greatly helped me the other day when I was deeding at the Lonelands.

My only suggestion would be to color code the number in more than just one color based on the deed section they are at. That we if we want all the exploration deed for the road to war in angmar, we just look for that color.

It's super useful as it is now, but that one little feature alone would make it uber wunver useful! :-D

Thanks for the feedback - much appreciated.

I did try the colour-coding, but found that it disturbed the simplicity in the maps and made it a bit more difficult to locate all spots. You can see an example below from the North Downs (click to enlarge).

Perhaps it's just me, but I found glancing at the numbers was working pretty well rather than the colour-coding. I'm open to reconsidering it though if people feel below is better.

    ...snip...
From a pragmatic stance, I rather like it. I find it much more useful and i actually don't have to "hunt" for the numbers. Either way, the other ones were also useful but i didn't have to hunt for the numbers. but it wasn't a deal-breaker or anything.

In any case, thank you so much for these.

I'll let the verdict be out on the colours a bit

Eregion and Enedwaith have been added along with an overview map with links.

Comments and good slayer-deed places are welcome as always.

I think it looks fine both ways, but if I had to state a preference, I'd go with color-coded, but color the numbers in the map key too. By doing so, using your North Downs example map, with a quick glance at the key, I'd know that red numbers 1 to 5 are the Stronghold Exploration sites and green numbers 6 to 10 are the Eastern Ruins Exploration sites, and so on.

Using all one color is definitely more pleasing to the eye, but the color coding makes finding the particular sites that you need much easier and faster, and with the colors, once you've pinpointed all of the numbers in a particular list, they tend to be easier to spot again. With the non-color-coded maps, I find myself continually losing some of the numbers, requiring a bit of searching after each time that I look away from the map itself.

As I said though, I think either way is fine, and these maps are extremely useful. They have already become one of my fav tools for playing LOTRO. Now if these could be incorporated into a plugin so that I wouldn't have to use resources outside of the game, they would go from merely awesome to must-have-can't-play-without status.

I fixed an error that was showing the wrong location on #23 in Evendim :)

I think I have warmed up to the idea of making the different deeds colour-coded. I'll get on that next.
