    LOTRO Comunity and Child's Play

Greetings to everyone in the LOTRO world! I have been personally involved with the Child's Play charity (as founded by Penny Arcade creators Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik) for several years now. I've been able to personally witness the wonderful work this charity does providing video games to children in hospitals all over the world. I did some searching here on the forum and wasn't able to find anything but I was wondering, as the LOTRO community ever been involved with Child's Play in any form?

I know form my days with a few other MMOs, there have been some fund raisers held with permission from the game developers and participated in a community run Dark Age of Camelot fund raiser back in the day. Has this community ever run anything?

If not, I've been pondering the idea a bit over the past month or two. Nothing serious yet, I just love helping and am considering ideas. I'd have to think with all the PAX fans here and lovers of games, as well as people who have their own children who may or may not have made use of Child's Play personally, there would be support from the community if something were to be organized.

Edit: I see that Warner Bros: is a top level corporate sponsor of Child's Play, which says to me this might actually get a little traction if there's any interest at all.

Awesome! Thanks for the info and this is exactly what I was looking for. I'm going to have to contact them to see if there's any way I can be a part of things!
