Out of curiousity (RPing it up on LOTRO)

What RP kins are there on Imladris? And how into it are y'all?

I recently hit level 52, and I'm starting to think I might like to join a kin. Just putting the feelers out there. I must say, while I enjoy rping, I'm not hardcore into it, I do like my ooc time. But I was just wondering how it is on Imlad. I've heard other servers are more rp-tastic, but, well, I have a few alts on other servers, and lets just say that I have neglected them repeatedly.

    So, yes. Anybody out there?

Only thing i can say on this matter is that i know some players transferred from Imladris to other servers just because of lack of RP.
Imladris is in top 3 smallest servers in the game, you might have more luck with RP on other servers. Landroval perhaps?

    That'll keep him here Aragonis.
Where's Elkarien when you need him?
Tarciryan Knights are semi-RPers, try them.

    Several RP kins I know:
Tarciryan Knights (I know they do some raidings and such and light rp) You can try looking for em, might be suited to your tastes if you want light rp and ooc
    Children of Arda (Heavier RP)
Guard of the Citadel (Don't know much but they're heavier RPers to my knowledge)

Keep him here? Why should i care about that. Him leaving or staying is no concern of mine, i just tried to give him an honest answer that i my self would find helpful if in his place, based on what i know about the topic. The fact that this is one of 3 smallest servers in the game, that ppl are leaving because of lack of RP, that he would find more RP focused activities somewhere else wont change just because you might find it self fulfilling to keep someone on Imladris, sry.

Children of Arda is indeed one of the more active RP kins on the server, though CoA is more of the medium RP players, while Something Awesome, the sister kin, is where the heavier RP characters end up. The Blade Reforged is another medium RP kinship that has a crafting focus to it; Darkwood Marauders is a light RP kinship that hosts the Saturday Night Social on the server.

The thing about Something Awesome is It happens to my knowledge only has Gay/Homosexual Elves in the kin itself.

As a member of Something Awesome, I can tell you that you're not very knowledgeable.

Our main 4 are, in fact, "homosexual elves", but we also have a goblin, several females (elves, hobbits, and men), and many more straight males than "gay" ones.

Something Awesome is also invite-only. c: But CoA (Children of Arda) is always happily looking for new members.

I'm not sure why that would even be a *thing*...

Though if you play a character who has a problem with that, it is indeed very likely that he/she would have a hard time RPing his/her way into Something Awesome. For the record, there are more characters in SA who identify as straight than gay or bi, but again I'm not sure why that would even be important...

Oh, and we also had a goblin, but drove him off. Taking care of hobbit squires instead is much better for the mental health of the kin members.

    Lies! All lies!

The kinleader of SA is bisexual, thank you very much. He's into pretty things. (I should know - he's one of my characters)

I'm not really sure what sexuality has to do with a kinship, but...

Obviously, his partner is going to be in the same kinship he's in, and it so happens they managed to steal away the RK duo from CoA. Beyond that, there's a pair of hobbits (heterosexual, for the record, one of whom is one of the officers), a loremistress (who has been admiring a certain elf lord from afar), a male captain (who hits on the the female auctioneer in Bree *all* the time), a whiskeyfish of indeterminate gender who serves as kinhouse greeter, a young hobbit lad serving as the guardian's squire (no clue on his preferences, and -- don't really care, to be honest), and other people. (but I'm a terrible kinleader and can't recall the others right -- omg, Annefrancis is going to kill me for almost forgetting her -- Annefrancis, she likes the boys, actually she even likes teasingly hitting on one of the 'gay/homosexual elves' because she thinks it's cute when he blushes).

((I was specifically advised not to call the kinship "Fierce" back when it was created because then it would sound like there were only gay Elves in it.))

And, yes, SA is an invite-only kinship... usually stealing a member or two away from CoA from time to time, or targeting specific characters who are, well, something awesome. The best way to get into SA is to join CoA, and then RP a lot with SA members.

If you want to get to know some of the Rp-ers and find out more about kins, usually at the Saturday Night Socials, we have people show up who are from a few of the rp kins. Come and rp with us, get to know folk. Every saturday night, at 9 pm server time, we're somewhere.
Or something. You know what I mean.

Well, the Guard Of The Citadel are a friendly Rp based kin devoted to imersion.
We take up roles as Gondor's Elite sent our from the white city on secret missions from Denethor himself.
Most of our RPing is done on our website, though we do have RP meetings every now and again and often have a light RP sesh after our monthly Kinship meeting, sometime accompanied by a skirmish or raid or Rping is said skirm.
Feel free to take a look at our wiki page: http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Soci...Of_The_Citadel
    and our Website: http://gotclotr.webs.com/
Please Enjoy and hope to hear from you soon!

Thumbs up Re: Out of curiousity (RPing it up on LOTRO)

However i would like to point out that the Guard prides itself on being the best of the best and as such, we have a strict audition and interview process for all applicants wishing to join.
This is to weed out those players who, while they may seem interested in RP, they are realy just: "[I]In it for the lulz[I]"
Just letting you know, because i dont want to dash people high hopes when it comes to crunch time.
    Regards
    Winter
Recruitment and Media Officer Of The Guard Of The Citadel.
