They weren't. They were part of the flower quest rewards which havent been live since F2P start.

Ouch. That means the four new servers have no corsair outfits. That's... that's horribleness That costume is awesome.

Maybe it's just me, but I find it very discouraging that the "corsair tunic & pants" outfit does not allow for wearing boots or gloves, as the RoI pre-release boots are the perfect fit for this ensemble, and much better, imo, than the slipper-like contrivances it comes with.

on a similar note, there is a regular quest to pick up crates from the shipwreck... I can only find the pirate quests stuff...

was the other quest (name escaping me... think i got it from the colossus) affected by the activation of the pirate stuff?

Nope, the chests for the sunken ship from the Colosuss hub are found in the water. Look down and "Dive" (aka click :P)

I found out about this Mariner quest by chance this weekend while doing the Colosususs quests, lol. I was so excited to find the pirate hat.

L16? I started a bunch of toons on a new server, none were higher than lvl 6, so I was stuck doing this quest on a lvl 6 Burg. It took me 2 hours to complete it. No problem collecting crates Shire-side of the river... until I crossed into Evendim... everything targeted me from half way across the map after that. I died four times total while swimming up the middle of that river on my way up to the NPC.

Oh yeah, and something to file under "really odd": When I clicked on Revive after dying the first time, instead of popping me back up where I died like a normal Revive is supposed to do, it teleported me 2 maps away instead, from Evendim all the way back to the milestone I had set in ARCHET (yeah, lag is nothing compared to essentially rubberbanding across 2 maps!). And worse, IT STILL USED UP MY REVIVE FOR THE HOUR. Guys... come on now... I'm sorry, but if I'm teleported 2 maps away from where I died, that's NOT a revive... that's a defeat and a teleport.

If I thought I'd have gotten a response of anything other than WAI, I probably would've /bugged it...

In any case, though it took 2 hours and 5 repeated and unbelievably aggravating one-way trips, my lvl 6 Burg got the loot in the end... so... /happyface =)

    WAI.

Because you were in a 'red zone', that is a zone which is SIGNIFICANTLY higher level than you are. Deaths in a red zone do not give you a revive option, and you are forced to either retreat directly to your RACIAL starter (do not pass go, do not collect 200 copper.), or get rezed by a healer in person.

Odd. I did it on a Level 16 captain and was only targeted once, by one of the beach creatures by the final set of ruins. I ran away and it gave up halfway across the river. Otherwise the mobs mostly ignored me. I ran mostly right at the water's edge, and when it looked too dicey (only a couple of times) I swam for a bit.

Only it did give me a revive option. In fact, I clicked on that revive option and then my toon hopped up and looked around, exactly like I was reviving... but then they hit me with the go-back-to-start teleport right after. The option to revive was not grayed out (like when you fall off a cliff) as it should have been... it was, in fact, completely clickable, and I did click on it.

But again, that's my exact point though. If it's not gonna let you revive where you're at then it should not give you a clickable option to do so. I can understand having to click on defeat because revive is grayed out because I'm in an area that's just plain out of my league (I'd completely understand that)... but when revive is clickable but it teleports you somewhere else when you click on it... that's not expected behavior, and not WAI. That's an oops that was never fixed.

Has anyone confirmed that the event is over sometime today? I was able to log in for the first time in a few days this morning, grabbed the hat/patch combo but was hoping to come back later in the day or tomorrow and get the a la carte patch.

I just did it half an hour ago.

Just go to the pool with the slugs next to where you can barter.
The stuff you need spawns there as well, so no need to travel to Evendim and back all the time.
I got all the mats needs for the second and third item in about 15 minutes.

They've switched off the Farmer's Faire a day early, and haven't put this on yet. Any idea why?

http://forums.lotro.com/calendar.php stated that the event ended on time. The Marketing screensplash, had other errors that should have clued you in that this was the non-trustworthy timeframe such as 'Steed of the Bat'

Additionally, I believe events can be scheduled off, but generally are started manually to ensure nothing goes wrong, so someone's got to get to it in the office.

Still, I'm not expecting any substantive change this year.

Have not done the festival before. Is that alot of currency needed or is it fairly easy to get that much ale and crams ?

Considering the farmers faire i would find about 9-10 bags per 15 mins the least i'd expect to get.
    Nothing here matters.

They're pretty easy to get, but if your intentions are farming tokens I fear the Farmer's Faire was better. If I may even call it that. Just slow compared to the drop rate of pre-faire.

Yeah faire was already bad, if this is worse i will probably get the Cosmetics and move on or not bother at all. Thanks for the info.

Farming? Depends how many multi-boxers you have and how confident you are with the function of the delete key.
