2 Garden street, Locktry, Bree-Land, Snowbourne
Every national Talk Like a Pirate Day, which is September 19. So I expect it once the servers come up from maintenance this coming Monday.

Before you criticize anyone, walk a mile in his shoes. Then, when you criticize him, you'll be a mile away. And you'll have his shoes.
Anyone else start humming Iron Maiden or was it just me?
So they do the special event on the day of maintenance? Seems unlikely to me. You're sure they won't do it on Sunday, like they did last year?

It is active now, the cargo is strewn along the Brandywine, and the quest to start the search is near the Brandywine bridge in Buckland.
Jacobar (Burglar, main) Eryendil (Minstrel) Justinius (Captain) and lots of alts, Ring Guard of Rivendell on Gladden (originally from Elendilmir)
anything new this year?
Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien. Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar, tenn’ Ambar-metta!
I'd encourage everyone to take part in the event. This is the only way to get these the 4 cosmetic pirate items outside of the lotro store until next year![]()

its too bad they never bothered to add more mariner themed gear to it over the years.
Clarification: Only 3 items on the barter; The corsair's outfit isnt part of this event, its in the standard token gift-box tables.
The level based 'rare items' are Bind on Acquire and have no discernible cosmetic difference than their barter counterparts.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"
Continuing the never ending battle to keep Lobelia Sackville-Baggins in check
Yes, those are hooded versions of the Inn of the Forsaken cloaks currently available via skirmish barter. If would-be pirates want their pirate hats to show though, the non-hooded versions are better. That means parting with a few IoF marks though, arr.

Just 3 on the barter. You read an earlier post, and missed my comment later in the thread; The corsair outfit is actually a part of the gift box/anniversary, so you'll have to wait for it to come around (its actually on a seperate flag from the anniversary, so it has been turned on for a couple of things in the past).
I'd suggest you check around and see if your friends have some you can borrow to equip cosmetically/toss in your wardrobe.

I wish there were a way to line up all the extra ale bottles, like maybe perch them on the Bridgefields Wall in a long line. Because at this point I almost could make 99 bottles of beer on the wall.
I take it there's no use for the extras? I didn't know how many I'd need, and I was a little overzealous in my collections.

Play it again, Samwise.

Someone said there was two housing items that can be found. A small shipwreck boat and a pirate throne. Is this true?

The quest is lame. It took a long time to collect the debris, was too dangerous for my L16 Hobbit Minstel, and was not worth the cosmetic reward of of pirate hat and eyepatch. I threw away 46 bottles of ale and 23 crates of cram because I could not even sell the flotsam. It was not worth doing.
This was certainly active yesterday, as i was swimming across the Brandywine, and when i reached the coast, the bottles of cram or whatever, and treasure chests were all active, and i remembered this quest.

The long sleeved corsair's tunic is crafted. If you are on an older server and not one that started with FtP, there should be quite a few people that can craft it for you.
I don't remember if any of the cosmetic recipes were in gift boxes past FtP start, don't think they were though.
