    Imladris PvMP

This servers PvMP is now totally dependent on the incoming free-to-play(ers). If they don't come to play, or just show up and only look for a raid and leave then this servers PvMP is truly dead. It is pretty awful now, I'm just hoping free-to-play resurrects it. Discuss.. I guess..?

I'm not even sure how to join PvMP, would love more info on it. I think the server in general needs to take more time in 'leading' players like me into the community. I'm premium and recently found an excellent kin which is taking the time to quest with my lower level character and elain things to me when I just don't know what's going on. I think more kins need to do this! I'm sure when my level is right or the expansion comes out they will show me how to engage with this.
I think anyone who worries about it should also help others engage, it will become a much more helpful pro-active communiy.
The server, and the community, are ultimately what we make it.

Well ill be back in a few days on the freep side. I do count for something, do i?
Get your kin leader to make a creep character, i would love to kill him a few times. (He might even increase the PvMP population for quite a few players)

Lol, he doesn't even freep PvMP. I'm trying to become an officer in my current kinship so I can organize Ettenmoors runs. ( My kin hardly ever does runs except for a few of us that go there now and then. ) Also, with RoI the free-to-play people will be able to enter the Ettenmoors so the PvMP will be more interesting. Also, every person counts. =]

    Re: Imladris PvMP

For anyone that's f2p, being able to enter the ettenmoors will be totally dependent on how and when Turbine decides to allow us access to the zone.

I'll probably have to unlock more character slots to even roll up a creep, and none of my current freeps are high enough level or geared out well enough for me to even dream about thinking of entering the moors. Even though I might enter there just to see the place whenever I'll be able to. Once I do, I'll probably be gang banged as soon as I do enter, and that will definitely leave a bad taste in my mouth. I may or may not obsess with getting revenge...either way, definitely not something I want to bother with as soon as the moors becomes accessible to all.

Actually you can enter the moors at a lower level. You get a free travel token in your gift box which unlocks all travel destinations.

Actually PvMP on this server is not dead....its just that its mostly active around peak hours.....early evening to like around midnight.....otherwise its just deserted....

Now we could work on resurrecting it before Isengard rather than wait and rely on the f2p population to do it....those of the players who are on in the non-peak hours can work on getting some action in the moors....

As far as I know, I can't enter the moors RIGHT NOW due to being F2P. So, for me, it's a waiting game!

We could, I just think the amount of VIPs right now that can play the ettenmoors on their Freep decide to roll a creep instead. This usually ends up with the freeps being outnumbered by the creeps. I go to the moors very often on my hunter at all hours of the day and there is usually no one on. I try and get people in my kin to go, and I ask glff and whoever else. In my mind, this servers PvMP is just not as active as it could be. It also doesn't help that this is the smallest server.

An hour ago we had 10 on 10. PvP is not dead. It seems you are missing prime time (which is in a hour or so) or aren't paying attention to the glff.

The server is currently at it's third peak (second highest). If the current creeps stick it out 1 more month, it'll be worth it.

Agreed we're not a large server and are quite a relatively new server...but considering the amount of population that turns up at peak times (both creep AND freep) and those small groups that I hear on glff all day long (non-peak hours) asking for any action in the moors, and just roaming around as you yourself mentioned in your own experience....we can safely say we can have a good enough active moors around the clock....

Now I myself am from India....so when it is peak times on the moors here, its like 4 am to 9/10 am for me....quite much the exact time that I can never be online because its the time I'm either up early to work/college or sleeping after a long awake night.....so I have to be content with the starting bursts of action that is late night 3-5 am for me.....early evening according to gametime (EST).....

So for all those who share a similar problem to mine, I was proposing we plan a few more times when those of us who can get out in the moors can come on and have some of the action....It will be one-sided sometimes, or rather, many times because on our server people have the habit of logging off the outnumbered side and joining in the overpowering side consequently making the situation worse.....but maybe we can come to a balance with a few runs.....with people who want to go out there and fight for fun....

If we can get enough to be interested in such planned events, I'm willing to start and/or support if anyone wants to start such an event....

I would quite enjoy dedicated pvp days. Where both sides come out and stay on all day from noon to midnight. Of course with intermittent breaks for real life things and such. But having people all over the map rather than clustered in one area is always fun.

Well of course that's fun for you, Mr. Sneak Around And Kill People Who Don't Know I'm There So I Never Lose Rating :P

But yes, having dedicated days for PvP would be great.
And I really hope that the Moors get filled with a bunch of F2P noobs when Isengard comes out....easy renown for meeeeee

    Re: Imladris PvMP

I would LOVE for the PVMP to be revived. It's been pretty dang boring of late. A large number of the new creeps who join won't stick with it to gain higher rank, just because they die a lot at lower ranks. It comes with the territory and is a learning experience. Don't give up! We need you! =D Thanks to those freeps who give it a good fight rather than running away when you start getting hit. You're the best, and far more fun to fight (even if you horribly murder me).

A dedicated PVMP day would be amazing. I'm not as well acquainted with many of you guys as you are with each other, so I'm not sure about schedules and such. This being said, would someone else be willing to suggest a date for a big shebang that would work for most people? =p Let's get this server moving!

Good to hear that CantankerousTim! We really do need more people who dont ragequit or switch at the first sight of trouble....

Well from the responses I can assume that we have a fair number of folk who would like to have dedicated PvMP days....even for those who dont usually check forums, someone can make some announcements in-game....or atleast this would help urge more people to check the forums....

So I guess I'll put up a proposal for a day and time when these PvMP events could be held....we'll keep a few options so that the best ones can be chosen and more and more people can make it there....I'll post in a day or so unless someone wants to do it themselves and beat me to it....to anyone, if posting a new thread for it, please specify your ideas for what day and time would be suitable for maximum number of people (and yourself as well ) and post atleast 2-3 such possible time windows....

Looking forward to getting more interesting and fair sided and fun fights in the moors on this server

Theres always freeps/creeps on the map just gotta run around and look. People also gotta remenber that if one side has 3 and other has 5 dont need to be grouped or in a raid to get a good fight. People need to think that both sides gotta get kills or other side will log. Its far more effective for both sides to rank if kills are had both ways,if one side dominates to much(if i get 1 kill and die 5 times thats not balanced and i will move on,if i get 3 and die 5 then im likely to stay or vise versa)

HAHA! Since they've opened up PvMP to us F2P'ers, I gotta say ... I'm enjoying every last bit of it.

So far, I only have 2 creeps, an unranked Reaver here, and a rank 3 Reaver on another server that I've been "practicing" with. On my practice server, so far I've watched a warg tank an OP NPC, I've killed a freep without knowing it, we've stormed the elf camp so many times Marshall An's cooldown doesn't even matter (would be nice if the quest CD was, say 8hrs though!)

I'm gonna have to start ranking up my reaver over here. I'll get around to it!

    Re: Imladris PvMP

    Cool! Glad to have you.

I'd like to apologize to some of the new creeps. I've been trying to instruct many of them in creep mechanics, such as drop-pulling, and have been easily frustrated lately and taken it out a bit on you guys when something goes wrong. I've got some personal stuff I'm dealing with at the moment, and that's probably affecting it. I will try to be more patient However, I would like to ask you all to return the favor. When we tell you something like "stay with the leader at all times and listen to what they say", it is very important. Such things are crucial in the moors, and some of you have been blatantly ignoring these things =/ I've had a couple new reavers tell me time and again that I didn't know what I was doing and that they did, because they had read the forums. While I'm definately no pro, I do know that first hand experience trumps the forums every time. I know myself and other higher ranked creeps have been showing some irritation towards you all, but that's more due to people refusing to listen to our advice then you just being new. I'm not saying you have to follow every order we give you because we know everything, but at least listen to the advice and try it out rather than dismissing it immediately. The quicker you learn, the more the older creeps will accept you. I personally don't care if you're rank 0 and just started. If you show intelligence and willingness to learn, I'd rather have you in my group then a rank 5 who thinks he knows everything. Following everything your raid leader says is so very crucial If there's a rank 2 leading the raid, I'll listen to whatever he says, maybe making suggestions here and there, but his word goes. If everyone is following everything that rank 2 is saying, it has a higher chance of success than a group of high ranked creeps all meandering about doing their own thing. Co-operation is key, and one of the only ways we can beat the freeps They will often times outgun you and have experience on their side, so stick together and work together, and give us "veteran" *cough* creeps a shot to help you. Thanks, hope to see you all out there working on getting your maps!

I don't mind the new creeps, just don't want random invites for no cause, and also, the thing that is ticking me off atm, is the ranger and troll play unlocked on this server, if this was the well established servers, it wouldn't really matter, but since this is one of the new and smaller servers', its a HUGE difference... and Tim, i find the OOC midly amusing

Yes the couple times I've been on my creep since f2p reavers, OOC has been rather amusing.

    My personal favorite:
    [GreenieReaver]: Where are freeps?
    [OtherCreep]: At Tol Ascarnen
    [GreenieCreep]: Who's that?

I have to thank the guy from last night that was running the raids we were doing on creep side as he took the time to explain things and made the night most enjoyable. This was the first time my wife and I were in a raid group out there and could have not asked for a better leader. Not only did he have patience with the new people but explained about giving and taking so the other side would not just log because we were overwhelming them. He also went over tactics and waited for some of us that were lagging behind at times. This is the type of person that makes this game fun. I am looking forward to leveling my warg and we are hoping to join his groups more.

As a side note not all of the people out there are like this. Before that we asked to join a group and we were drilled with questions and had to have certain traits it seemed. These types of people do not make new players feel welcome at all.

Hahaha! That's a PERFECT example of what I was talking about xD They flipped TA with the entire keep on them, with freeps in the keep.

Oh, and a side note to you Lord_Fear. Traits are important, but excluding someone because they have the "wrong" ones is dumb. However, wargs NEED advanced stealth

    Re: Imladris PvMP

Well, so far in PvMP, I've suffered my fair share of one-shot deaths at the hands of Freeps rolling a bloody ranger, but have also grouped up with some spectacular groups on not just this server but 3 other servers as well.

Last night, though, we had some awesome creep vs freep action (I think the freeps were VC, not sure, dunno, don't care - they were freeps!) We fought on Lugz lawn for a bit before moving into TA, where our raid pulled off some bloody brillaint tactics/strategy in not only taking down the freeps but also TA itself.

Since I'm currently restricted to playing as a reaver, it's a bit nice to enjoy a bit of mindless slaughter - charging in, no regards to whether I live or die just for the chance of getting a killing blow. A group of five reavers with a warleader or defiler behind them is also particularily nasty, especially if everyone works in unison. I've already been in a variety of setups, though, and overall, playing creepside can be both fascinating and frustrating. Now, if I can just find a regular group, either here or on one of the other servers I've already rolled reavers on...
