    Red face [EVENT] Hobbity Hospitality

Hobbity Hospitality is a semimonthly event now (first and third Thursday).

Thank you all for coming last time, it was a lot of fun and the turn out was really great. We were all pleasantly surprised by the high quality of story telling, gossip sharing and superior dancing.

Hobbity Hospitality is again held next week, at 10pm server time on Thursday the 19th of July (that would be 2am Friday, UK time) . More details on the next post.

Re: [EVENT]North-Americain time zone weekly RP event of drinks, foods and merriments

    [OOC]
What:Hobbity Hospitality is still going on! It's a public RP event on the playing time of North American players on this server, But everybody from every time zone is welcome of course.

This event include a poetry contest, food and pipe-weed fun, musical performances, much gossiping about the doings in the Shire and exchanging whatever news you travelers might bring of the distant lands outside of the Shire. Feel free to stay for the entire soiree or just drop by for a short spell.

When: 9:00pm- server time (EST), this Thursday the 5th of July, and hopefully we could expand it to one day when there are more NA players.

Who: "The Iron Axes", one of the first NA-based RP kin on Laurelin (teehee), cordially invite everyone, from everywhere and every kin, to join us. We should all come in-character of course.

Where: Inside of the Ivy Bush Inn, in Hobbiton, West-Farthing, of the Shire.

How: Send a /tell any Iron Axes members for directions or any questions, proposals and comments you might have, or reach us on our website.

    The Iron Axes

    [RP]

Hail to you travellers! My dwarf friends and my big-folk friends are coming through the Shire on their way back to the Blue Mountains, and I plan to throw a feast for them at The Ivy Bush Inn in Hobbiton. Rollo Underhill told me that he heard from Loric Twofoot, who heard it from Rosy Woodhall, that they dwarves like roasted spider legs, so a proper dwarven feast I shall give them! Come, and let it not to be said that the Hobbit-friends may not know the merriment of the Shire-folk!

There will be much dancing, many gossips (have you heard about that half-elf, half-dragon hobbit maiden who slain a troll? My cousin Ruby heard it from Loso who heard it from his father's dog's previous owner's cousin in Buckland, he swore that it's true! ), many bawdy songs and many hobbit-poems, and we have food aplenty too. So forget about the Green Dragon Inn, skip the Floating Log inn, keep clear of the Bird and the Baby Inn, for on this coming thursday night, no other merriment can be found in the Shire but in The Ivy Bush Inn!

-Razo Mossyfoot, a hobbit with the shouting voice of a thousand dying goblins.

So sad it's so hard for us to meet. I remember when i was playing ultima online on an american server and had to wake up at 3 in the night to attend the social events...
Good luck and have fun, and don't forget to visit our events too, it's a bit easier for you, as it's your afternoon

Not if you've got a job, which fortunately I don't! (Well, unless you count those screaming kids... oh wait, I'm supposed to feed them instead of RPing? ####!)

Good luck with your event. Alas, I am dedicated to Landroval during NA timezone evenings.

    Master Razo! Hail to you!

We've made it to Stock along the Brandywine, and will stop here for the evening. I expect Berlosi and I shall arrive in your Hobbiton tomorrow eve, and we'll be more tired than our donkeys, so prepare the ale and meat pies!

    Best to you Master Mossyfoot

It was fun to see you all at our weekly gathering last thursday evening. And I'd like to personally thank Cynnwyn from The Shadow, and Aldsten, for making the evening so fun and interesting.

Our kin has seems an influx of NA players this past week, it's great that there are many more NA based players

This will be the second week we do it, and we're hoping to keep it going on a weekly basis. I haven't seen any other public events yet advertised (here or in-game) for this time frame, so this could very well be the first one during these hours.

All are welcome, so please join us! If you're lucky, I might, after a few cups, share some dwarven word-craft taught to me by my grandfather, Iorak, Boric's son.

Hail Oaric and Razo! Hopefully I'll be able to attend today but lately I have been unable to connect to the server, or any server for that matter. With a little luck it will clear up. Hope to see you there--and me.

I enjoyed the session, alas the time is such that I doubt I can attend every week. I wish you lots of luck in building up your regular attendance

We loved having you join us, Lady Primmrose!

The second holding of Hobbity Hospitality was quite good! We had a good showing from the Axes, and a number of non-kin folk attend. Shire-ale was drunk, coney pies were eaten, fine songs were sung (thank you Primmrose!), and the subtleties of Rohirric vs. dwarven shield-use styles were discussed.

Good times all around, and more to come next Thursday!

This was my first time at the weekly event and it was very enjoyable. Allow me to once again praise Lady Primmrose for her phenomenal and fun songs. I look forward to hearing more from you at the Green Dragon but most especially at the weekly Hobbity Hospitality gatherings in the Ivy Bush. I had a really fun time and look forward to meeting more people. Thanks Razo and Oaric of the Iron Axes for creating this marvelous and growing event. Hail Axes!

Master Razo, Elhere, Berlosi the Bear, and other fine members of the Iron Axes

Hail to you! Hail to the Iron Axes!

I fear I will not be able to make it back to the fair Shire in time to enjoy the the hobbits' hospitality. I was waylaid by Dunlending bandits while scouting their camp for the fair folk in Eregion. They may have thought they had the better of me, but I won the day (there must've been 6 of 'em if there was a one!) with my axe hewing and slaying.

Alas, I was taken in the thigh by some coward's arrow, and am laid-up in this place they call Gwingris. The Fair folk have treated me with kindness and respect, and have tended my wounds, but I must stay off my feet for a few days.

Think of me during your merriment, then, as I lay in this damp, ruined place!

    Hail Axes!
Oaric, Aorik's son of the line of Ilmarik.

I wish I'd be able to come. Sadly, I work till 11pm EST. If I can manage to show up "fashionably late" for a hobbit, I will. Thanks for pointing this out to me, Oaric.

*Cheers* Hurrah! I look forward to some time with a few admirable and respectable hobbits!

Though to note one correction: the EST/GMT difference is only 4 hours at the moment, so the event will be 2 am GMT.

Hobbity Hospitality is held again this coming Thursday, 5th of July, at 9pm EST (that's 2am UK time, Friday) . If you would like to attend, but feel that this event is a few hours too late, place let me know by sending a in-game mail to Ascaric or Oaric, or post an reply to this thread.

There's a chance that we might bump this event a hour or three earlier to make it easier for our european kinsmen.

With some interest from our European kinsmen and friends, we were talking about moving this up 2-3 hours to make it a bit more palpable then 2-3am GMT .

Have settled upon a time, so watch this space for info from Mistwood or maybe myself.

Edit: Oops, just noticed Mistwood had edited his comment above to say the same thing.
