    Silverlode need its own party!

I've been surfing through some LOTRO-related website, such as CSTM(www.casualstrolltomordor.com), tenton hammer, and so on, and can't help but wonder why Silverlode doesn't have its own party besides official ones.

Throwing a party like Weatherstock, or Independence day celebration in Crickhollow would certainly make a nice change to the server's atmosphere.

Maybe one of the big-sized kinship in our server could do the job, and I'm quite eager to participate.

    What do you think?

The idea sounds great, excepting for Independence Day, for not everyone in Silverlode is from USA. In fact, it has the largest (or one of the most) population of latinamerican people in whole LOTRO.

Anyway, I've been wondering the same: festivals of crafting in Bree, or Kinship-Recruiting-Fest, or concerts, etc. There are so many things we can do... I wish we can organize something, proving that Silverlode is not just Drama-lode

Thanks for the reply. I believe organizing would be the most difficult challenge if we actually want to pull something out of it. Who will do it and how? Since you said Silverlode is the consist of dense population of Latin-American, and most of the Korean players are also in Silverlode.

In short, if somebody wants to throw a party, it has to be international in order to work.

Over the years the Fat Smokin Hobbits have hosted various events, including a Saint Patrick's Day parade.

I had wondered if we had enough capable musicians to hold a festival...like Woodstock - maybe call it Stock-stock and have bands, fireworks, beer etc?

I tried to get a weekly thing going on, but a bunch of #### happened right as it started and I couldn't keep it going. I'm up for helping out anyone who wants to get something started, though.

Would anyone like to co-chair a party with me? I do not want to do all the work by myself, but I really don't mind working on and planning a party if somebody else/a kin is game to help.

In game I'm Hortensia, Hildewyn, and Aenaru (among others, but those are the three I'm frequently on)

Hey there Hortensia! I plan the "social" events for Clan of Dereth and would love to get together with you on something! My work schedule is kind of all over the place & I'm on at various times, so send me a PM or in-game mail and we can get started.
Oh, the toons I am on mostly are Taliesin, Badtwin and Celwyn.

Anyway, international holidays are fun! A Dia De Los Muertos would be oodles of fun and I'm sure there are some Korean holidays that people wouldn't mind getting in on. My Australian fiance's favorite holiday is American Thanksgiving.

Re: Silverlode need its own party!

Because those are [unofficial] role-playing servers. If you want to role-play, you go to one of those servers (or Laurelin). Not saying you can't do it here but it is a lot easier to organize RP events where there are a lot of RPers. I know there are a few kins that have organized events in the past but nothing as big as what you will see on those servers.

Since most RP events happen in Bree/Shire/EL/LL you don't even need to level up to participate. Just make a character and get past the intro and you're good. Just check the server or RP forums to find events.
