Its true, but on the off chance that I lose, I'd rather not feed the only class that can get rank in the moors simply by waving rocks at people from twenty yards away... while running, and stunning, and healing, and doing more dmg than any other class. I think I would rather just gank ez moders. No offense.
I'll spar you sometime if I get out there on Nvious ;P
yey grats me on being second rank 8 on the server...yaaaaay.
Holy troll bait batman!
Kinda leaving Dwarrow, ill be out sometimes on my reaver, prolly not at all on card. Back on my Windy warden.

Went out tonight, was a pretty sad sight. I'm pretty conviced the vet freeps on this server are just gunning for rank anymore. Theres no intrest in good fights. I picked up the raid and led em in twice, was mostly melee. We had bout 12 I guess managed to kill the first target and before I could switch to the next 3/4 of the group was down. So I had em flip to range classes but the freeps ran up to lug, we sat and wait around the slug pits till enough peps dropped out of boredom I called it quits. Theres no reason to play a creep on this server at the moment. Too many dedicated freeps and almost no dedicated creeps. Might as well just be npcs on creep side. I dont see how I can help the situation other than to wait till more creeps or less freeps come out at prime time. Or unless the freeps start to understand you have to keep the creeps happy sometimes lol its not all about you. I hate QQ posts and this one looks like one but meh I cant paint it any other way lol.
Yeah pretty much sums it up. I was out on Jake for 10min and all the Freeps had was range and tactical dps. I kinda gave up on my creep becuase the only way to take him down was to zerg him and freeps had no problems doing that. I was out the same time the freeps left to lug I thought that was low ha-ha. Sitting in Lug rez around npcs.
Not much you can do besides go back to our old server and and join the zerg feast. At lease 50% of the time it's even numbers. To me the game is not as good as it once was the RK and Warden classes has really ruined the game from back in the day. Creeps need a classes like the RK very badly and a class like the warden as well. This last patch really upgraded the freeps but did very little to creeps besides give us our greenies more strength. (not skill)
Well, I for one am gonna miss you guys. I'll roll up a Wardy on Windy just to say wuddup to you two.
Yeah it certainly doesn't help that you can't get a fight anymore where freeps aren't sitting in the middle of their NPC's, no matter the odds. The one good fight I've had in the last couple of days where we had about even numbers ended with 4 of us sitting in lumber camp while a group of 12 kept coming to slaughter us...nobody seems interested in good fights anymore it's all about the easy kill and making greenie loops for renown. Meanwhile it's getting really hard to rank on a creep, aka the side where it really does matter what rank you are.
Wondering why you're seeing so many wargs now, well it's the only class that really has a chance out there now. You couldn't pay me enough to try soloing with Snorty.
And yeah, RK's are seriously overpowered in the moors, period. It's a joke that BA's got nerfed but RK's have been given a bunch of crazy skills over the past few months...master of writs anyone?
Remorseless Strike from a Champ that is well geared with a 2h can get up to 4k and they can't be stunned/slowed in Continuous Blood Rage. Burgs can hit for 2k with Surprise Strike, which is guaranteed to crit with Aim in a battle of their choosing, then keep you handily locked down until the bar is empty. I needn't even mention either of the three tactical classes and their output, or the Hunter tandem of Merciful/Blood/HS from a 40m(?) range. Guess I just have beer goggles or we're talking about not dying rather than killing, in which case OP Guards take the cake.
In other news, off to the store to get some popcorn for Fight Night - Card v Rusty: The Peenathon.
Aces brings up a good point I had never thought about before. I've read The Hobbit and The Lord Of the Rings. I understand how the classes fit in the game, except Rune Keepers. Gandalf wasn't a rune keeper. I can't think of anything that even comes close to Rune Keepers in the books, can you?
How do Run Keepers fit in with the Lore and story of The Lord of the Rings?
LoreMaster: Gandalf (Gandalf did summon "pets")
Minstrel: ? (I understand how minstrel healing fits in with the lore, just can't think of a character that would be a minstrel)
Rune Keeper: ?
Biological - Weaver - Dwarrowdelf
Gruxxor - Reaver - Immortals
Tolkien Character Class Comparisons
Yes, Virginia, the Minstrel class IS lore appropriate
Keep in mind that the lore available to Turbine extends to all of Tolkien's books and notes, not just The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Even then there's room for creative liberties obviously within the bounds of their license(the Rift of Nurz Ghashu is entirely made up, for example).
As far as creep classes go, Spider, Reaver, Blackarrow, and Warleader all seem perfectly justifiable. Wargs as some static part of the army rather than a mount is a stretch as far as I'm aware. Defilers you can make the same argument as a Rune Keeper about.
Ok, so some of the names changed for the classes. But still... where do Rune Keepers fit in?
Loremaster is inspired by Radaghast the Brown who the the official wizard of animal lore.
Minstrel is inspired by Luthien Tinuviel who voice was so beguiling she fooled Morgoth himself.
Rune-Keeper is inspired by Celebrimbor, master rune craftsman. (not quite what LOTRO RKs are, but very close)
The captain is inspired by the kings of Arnor, but I think Gil-Galad is also a major influence .
Warden is inspired by the Marchwardens of Lorien, specifically Haldir. I also think Faramir is a type of wise warden.
LOTRO said guardian is Sam but I think that Beregond makes a far better guardian.
