Could it be the uruk-hai and Saruman's half-breeds? Brew can be simply a mixture, so a strong mixture of orcs and men could fit.

A good guess, but no. I'll maybe post a hint soon

the Brandywine? from it's Kuduk form Bralda-hîm

    Correct

Elvish "Baranduin" to "Branda-nîm", meaning like "border-water" or "marchwine", first referring to"border" and then to the colour, but by common hobbit-jest evolving to "bralda-hîm", loosely translated as "heady ale" ,I guess that's where the brandy gets involved, and so on... Whatever, read the appendices, I'm messing this up.

Brandywine right, Ceredigs turn to post a riddle

My first thought is Menelvagor aka the 'Swordssman of the Sky'
Today is a good day for Pie.

Do not meddle in the affairs of Burglars, for they are subtle and quick to shank you.

    "gladdon-swords guarded the fords,
    and green spears, and arrow-reeds"

    from "the Sea Bell"

    is that organic enough?

    Precious Sword: Kingsfoil?

For the second prong - foil as in the fencing sword.

I am less sanguine about the first element, as "king" doesn't really connote "precious." However, one could argue that the plant's healing properties make it valuable or "precious."

Very nice try but not it.
Organic also refers to organisms. I offered that hint to not waste folks' guesses on actual swords.
    Hint: the answer is philological

Precious Sword = Valacirca "the sickle of the valar" , if menelvagor was cold I cant see this one getting warmer but am struggling with ideas.

    Nope
Hint: a precious stone will give you (almost) half the answer

Time for another hint it seems: the precious stone referred to above is the Arkenstone

    something about Smaug?

    Nope
I mentioned that Arkenstone gets you (almost) halfway there. I mean this philologically. Arkenstone is composed of two words. So one of those two words is (almost) half the answer.

Teeth, Stones = Orthanc Mount Fang?

Orthanc made of something that resembles obsidian?

Nope, nothing resembling either arken or stone in that answer. The answer has a word element virtually identical to one of those two words.

Sorry, as unfamiliar as I am with that quote (shouldn't it be OMI?), it is still not it.
Hint: the answer is a person who plays a role in the War of the Ring
