Yes, the story of Grima is interesting. I recently used him as the subject another trivia riddle, so I was very familiar with the passage where his father is mentioned.

So here is a new one:

    unending task
"Just like Mary Shelly, Just like Frankenstein, Break your chains, Count your change, And try to walk the line"

    perhaps?
Well, I suppose you could always say "flame resistant sunglasses" if you prefer that to "shoes"

    You have found it.
To quote more of Bilbo's words concerning Earendil's task:

"...for ever still a herald on
an errand that should never rest
to bear his shining lamp afar,
    the Flammifer of Westernesse."

    Durin's crown?

But still the sunken stars appear
    In dark and windless Mirrormere;
There lies his crown in water deep,
Till Durin wakes again from sleep.

I'm going to guess at Earnur for this one, although I'm half tempted to go for the Witch King instead.

    Aha!

The lights in the marshes when Gollum was leading Frodo and Sam through.

    Correct

Swamp gas might be your scientific explanation Mr Boraxxe, Gollum and the Hobbits saw specters holding little candles.

    "Corpses of candles"

Windles Norma Jean > Candle in the wind without wind is just a corpse and a candle

I am ready now. Here's a new one:

    Historic accident

    Re: Two-word Tolkien Trivia

There are a couple possibilities, but my best guess would be Cristopher Tolkien making Gil-Galad the son of Fingon rather than Orodreth, which he afterwards listed as "a mistake." Or maybe that's just because I'm obsessed with Gil-Galad.
If the elves had had a guy who could wipe out Sauron and his army single handedly with alphabet blocks, they would not have sent along a hunter. -Forusrname

    Interesting response. /grin
Not looking for an "accident" in the text, but something within the lore.
