    New Role Player

So I was planning on trying out some new characters after launch due to the abundance of lower level players we are going to have and decided to stop crunching numbers and try the game from a different approach. I've never RP'ed. The closest thing I've ever done to this is Ciivl War reenacting and it's nowhere near the same. I don't know what kind of character I'm going to roll out yet. I had an idea for a Dwarf Hunter, a Man Burglar, or a Captain, but I wanted to get a feel for what organizations are developing before I started writing. Any kins/clubs/gangs forming that would accept a new RPer. I thought it might be easier to ease my way into RP here rather than start on Landy, and it gives me an excuse to play on the new servers.

The Weathertop Militia is a freindly lot, and we would be very proud to aid you in your endeavors either as a formal member, or as citizen friend of the militia.

Simply send me a message either here, or in Middle-Earth.

"Second Breakfast" is run by one of the premier rp notables which is Harperella from Landroval. Already we have "Elevensies" at the Bird and Baby. Its a small gathering for sure, but this is how Ales and Tales started.

The kin is super casual with no "regulations" imposed. Started at 4 ish pm on Wed by 10pm we had 15 members. Heck! We even have a Barliman Butterbur in our ranks!

Whilst cooking for Elevensies, Tinki floors 2 Orcs with her frying pan and fresh caught fish. The frying pan critted for 18 hp and the fish was extra tender afterwards.

It's so nice to hear that y'all are friendly. I expected tighhtly regulated IC behavior. I've been trying to cook up back stories (vague ideas) and I just wanted to get some input as to how to go about making a backstory, what race/class mean in RP terms. like I said, I rolled out a Dwarf Hunter, but not sure that's where I'm going to stay. I created him on a whim with a couple of basic principles, nothing too detailed.

-has a knack for mechanical devices. I want to get him a crossbow ASAP.
    - Keeps a well groomed short beard. (used to be longer, but I bent over to reload and got it stuck in the crank of my bow, so now I keep it short... MAN THAT HURT... I learned my lesson.

As far as anything detailed, I have no idea. I thought about trying to make this character military oriented, any ideas? Is this generally how characters develop. Am I on the right track?
