Re: The Mighty Champion Solo List

I just soloed up to and including first boss in SG. I had to kite on a few add pulls like the one with 3 sorcs. When it came to the final boss the key is to LoS him around the platform when he does the burn attack. Uhm it was pretty epic I killed him with room a flame with like 200morale left. Although I had no scrolls or morale/power pots. I have a bad laptop and lag wayy to much when I take SS or try to fraps. But if you try it you will find it doable and yet intense.

@Axelthegreat & Tarquinas - there have been alot of changes with the champ for sure. You need a very balanced build now to solo I find. Parry/Evade are really important along with some proc healing gear. The bartered moria helm, crafted Gloves and Epic leggings are nice. I have used the light armour shoes from the skirm camp when there is alot of dots or adds. Also you want your physical Mitigation really high if your fighting common damage and Tactical Mitigation really high when fighting anything else. To give you an example I have close to 17% Parry and around 12-14% evade depending on what I feel like wearing. To get that high there is some sacrifices for sure.

Below is my first video as an actual NON-CLICKER. I have been critisized for the last year or so and once I made a video in the moors I realized that I need to change to be successful in this area. I do want to make more videos in the moors because they are very entertaining and anything can happen. I will gladly deal with the critisizm and negativity once I can battle with great movement. Just need a month or so of training. I had about 4 hours of play with my new keyboard so you see I hamstring ect when I dont mean to. He doesn't hit that hard so I switched to my non solo 2-hander to speed things up.

I would put the first boss of SG and the mobs up to it extreme. I used full moors set and high vit along with the skirm pocket item with mitigations on it. While I did not have pots I still thought it compared to the other extremes on the list. Theo you have done some epic stuff and I love your videos you shohuld make one on SG(well at least first boss moving on to second now) so people can see a video of it.

I believe it was Ughir. Although his body despawned and lost from combat log.

Igash: Easy, possibly edges his way into medium.

Brought my regular gear setup into the fight along with blue traits, a hope token, and a battle and warding scroll. Only had to use a single morale pot and a single power pot (level 70), dire need, and bubbles.

Re: The Mighty Champion Solo List

Just finished BG on my decently geared champ.

    Forvengwath: VERY easy.

    The three sorceresses: Easy.

Castellan Wisdan: Medium/Hard, had to kite.

Udunion: Medium, very much an endurance fight, especially if you miss interrupting his heal.

A fellow champion on another thread was requesting some solo virtue/trait help and decided to post a few things and just thought i would link to the thread since a few other people were curious about virtues and traits.

    http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...-champion-help

I also added the few extra challenges to the list and have a whack of videos to process in the next few days.

I've been trying to get down stoneheight t2 challenge, and i easily defeat the first two bosses. When it comes to bubosh and dale, I have a hard time getting one of them down in time.

Any advice on this fight? do you kite a lot? burn one down quickly? i seem to have to use all my cd's quickly, then have no survivability left even i do kill one of them.

    In my opinion extreme challenges:
LVL 75 Boss Thurgtak - School of Tham Mirdain http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-E3PEiBUKOY

LVL 75 Boss Tarsh - School of Tham Mirdain http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLuSns4GrUQ
He hit me so hard (5600+ damage) at the beginning of the fight. Any ideas to avoid that?

Re: The Mighty Champion Solo List

I have finished sth t2 a couple of times so far, the order i take down the boss is Dale Truitt then the orc.
I won't say kiting is a must but it helps a lot tho especially with this exalted combatant thingy. Use sudden defense bubble whenever it s up. Other than that, everytime i get stunned by Dale, i use blood rage to break it off. (that way i can be able to interrupt his induction when he reappear from the mist which does like 1-1.5k dmg). It will be best to keep at least one healing cd (man heal/dire need/morale pot) so you can use it in case you are low on morale after blood rage.
I think that s all i can think of so far about the last boss fight. Hope that can help you.

@Hardulf - Nice videos I have the other two guys to post as well i was gonna add Tarsh as extreme for sure and yes I got nailed with tha nasty 5k hit as well at the start kinda forces you to use a CD close to the fight.

@Mrfrigglesworth- I have done Tier 2 a couple times and I find the only time that I move is when Bubhosh does his Blade Aoe damage. Make sure your physical mitigation is really high, and that your Parry/Evade is not too lacking. With my current build I am at about 17% Parry and 12-13% Evade. I still have alot of gear that I would like to get though.

Re: The Mighty Champion Solo List

It's nice to try and do things solo, although I am still pretty noob at it. Just like Athelious I started to use my keyboard a couple of weeks ago instead of clicking, and every few days I assign another skills to a button so I can learn it easier, and not all at once. It's going pretty good now but I still am pretty noob at soloing things.

I tried to do STH solo on T2, but since I was traited wrong I died pretty fast since I used up my CD's and morale pot before I even started to fight the "big boss". Yesterday I traited 4 blue ones and changed some gear and I was able to beat the first boss, but since I did not have much time left I quit the instance, I will try out the second boss soon, he shouldn't be a big problem imo anyway.

I did try the first boss in library yesterday aswell, but those poisons keep stacking up and when the boss itself got active, it stunned me and I was low on morale and couldn't break free using blood rage, and so I got killed rather quick. I might be using the wrong gear and virtues though, I only made sure I had 9k physical mititgation and 7k tactical mitigation, I thought that would be nice, but I didn't have a chance really. Any advice on how to start killing the first boss in library, what gear and virtues to use, and so on. It might help me to figure out this fight on my own if I got some "starter" tips.

    Thanks in advance

@Venguard - the adds of Piztor are difficult, make sure to wear some proc healing gear and negate common chestplate for this fight. I like to use heroics right as the second wave comes this will soak up some of the poison damage and help against the possible first stun.

Here is the second fight in the school.

Yeah i'm at a loss of what to do here.... i have 8-9 phys mit, should i be higher in that realm? I have 14-15% in both parry and evade. I use the proc gear (aside from epic leggings which im kicking myself for vendoring).

It just seems like i'm spending my time using survival skills instead of spamming remorseless/brutal/ferocious.

What's your rotation of survival skills? DO you pop invincible first? SD? True heroics? do you have the 5 piece bonus at work for exalted combatant?

Edit: i guess i'll try going for Dale Truitt first since i can't seem to get bubosh down quick enough, even though Dale has more morale.

    Another question:

Have you had much practice with the 10% partial parry/evade relics? Do those seem worth it to you? I'm not sure how those stack.

For example, if you have 15% parry and (throwing out a number) 5% partial parry, does that mean you have a 20% chance to at least partially parry an attack? Does it mean IF you parry, you have a 5% chance to partial parry?

They stack just as with Crit and Dev percent. There is a total avoidance chance which would be equal to P+E+PP+PE.

@mrfrigglesworth - the 10% partial mitigiation just decreases the amount of damage by 10% when you receive a partial parry/evade. Stick with the actual parry/evade relics they are worth alot more from a solo standpoint. As for the final boss in SH stick mainly with wild attack, hedge, Second wind(for dire need), sudden defence, invincible. Getting the timer down on Sudden defence is key. Spamming brutal or remorseless is gonna steal from that ending in defeat. I just use Remoreless when the seeking blade is up. I do sneak a rend in there once and awhile because the animation is quick and doesn't steal time from wild attack.

Man all these crazy stunts make my solo of Urugarth(at lv 75) seem like child's play when I felt pretty epic at the time.
