since i don't wanna make a new thread (there's already so many), i see many hunters wear the greater erebor set and not the hytbold set, i for instance keep wearing my hytboldset combination for the bonusses and use the gear from the moors for pvmp, why do i see then still so many hunters with the erebor set, do i miss anything?

Erebor Huntsman makes 5 blue so much better.
2 Erebor Bowmaster improves Burn Hot. I have it for swapping purposes since I don't have Erebor t2 done.
4-GE Bowmaster gives you the chance to instantly use HS. Like, it deals the damage of a crit'd Blood Arrow on a normal hit. That's kinda awesome without the induction getting in the way.

They're better than bonuses like +5% bow critical multiplier, -10% induction, and -cd to SB/BA IMO.
    Also, stats.

    returning hunter

hi everyone, im a returning hunter. i played a lvl 65 hunter on riddermark named odahvwhing. iam new to this since all of the changes have taken place within lotro and as such ill b starting fresh with a new hunter to learn the ropes again so to speak. at the time i stopped playin i was lvl 65 with somewhere around 17k phys mastery and average morale. i would like advice on endgame builds or setups for gear, legacies, traits, etc. my ideal build is a hunter that focuses on overall dps over time while maintaining decent morale. i. e., i dont want to glass cannon it. any advice on building a decent solo hunter would be awesome.

    Try this thread.

Tl;dr: don't bother too much with gear till 85; get Hytbold gear at 85, mix crafted and instance gear, etc.

Don't put your return to campfire skill next to your "build campfire skill" as you will be trying to warm up your fellowship and they'll be saying "where did she go" (facepalms).

As a related note and tip:
Remove all Travel skills from the hotbars.
When needed, press 'K' (default keybinding) and open the Travel Skills section, and double-click from there. It's only about 6 secs more of effort.

Or install the Travel Window plugin and have a nice, tiny little icon you can click on (and move to wherever you want) and have a nice text listing or icon listing of all your travel skills. Select where you want to go and boom skill is executed.

    Pro-tip for new hunters:

    Roll a different class.
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies. And whenever they catch you, they will try to kill you. But first...they must catch you. Creepsbane. Warlord. Prince with the quick sword. Be cunning, and full of tricks, and you will never be destroyed...

    Why is that?
I just got back into the game, lvl 48 hunter, mostly soloing to lvl up, and it seems like a fun class so far.

On a comparative basis, Hunter class is miles behind any other class, in terms of survivability and effective utility.

Killing landscape mobs is one thing...and can be loads of fun.

When it's time for challenges (T2, T2c, PvP), Hunter class shortcomings become quite obvious.

Some peeps try to troll and say Hunter is fine...they would say the same about child abuse.
