Why not?

I'm so curious as to y we don't have a skill like aim yet? I mean cmon.... Such a simple thing (and personally I think aim would fit a hnt more than a burg). So y can't we have a skill like this? I'd def enjoy HS more

Re: Why not?

Exactly - we don't have a crit chain to speak of, it's just something that would automatically get used to make one of our attacks crit every time.

(although, I don't argue that it wouldn't be FUN, but FUN is different than need!)

As I posted in the Heartseeker thread a few weeks back, HS needs some love, but I don't think adding another skill just to crit more reliably would be that fix. Train adjustment, focus pip generation, power cost, induction decreases, etc, all were mentioned, but since our trait for HS doesn't extend past the RCrit cap (boo), I don't think adding another skill is on the table. Especially since it'd be begging to be used no just for HS, but cool burned HS's. :?

Of course. That way hunters can "bring the DPS to the raids" again.

What do you guys think of having a HS crit chance legacy on a HS bow? Imo, as much as I would love this skill they would never allow it. Imagine moors with a 100% HS crit chance, its just OP.

I agree in principle, but at the same time I'm still somewhat irritated our 'big mumbo jumbo' skill has all these caveats, w/o alot of trait/legacy insanity, that RK's have available w/ epic conclusion. (Yeah, I had an RK in MoM, so I know alot of conditions have to be met to get the big epic conclusions off - but it's still a skill w/ a much faster cool down that's instant cast...). I mean, our heartseeker trait is a bunch of ****. If I see Shot through the Heart traited on another hunter, I make alot of conclusions re: them, none of which are laudable.

Couple of reasons, primarily of which is that it would not solve underlying problems with Merciful Shot and Heartseeker. As others have mentioned, there is no reason for a Hunter to have an on-demand crit skill as none of our skills are gated by crits, but also, it would be redundant with Burn Hot, which was specifically made to produce a short term damage boost.

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.

What we really need is a skill that allows us to ride shields down stairs or shimmy up large enemies. LOL. Come on, you guys were thinking about that deep down too, weren't you? Legolas is probably the reason why most of us became hunters in the first place.

Not really. OK, not really on that either, but he's still way cooler than Legolas.

Re: Why not?

I def didnt roll a Hunter based on Legolas. He did some neat things in the books and movies but still.

Originally I took up the class because in FF 11 I played mages outa the wazoo which is where the fun in that game was since all the kewl epeen graphics were set to the spells. So going Hunter was a whole other walk of life for me. Minus the ability to Port since you know....Mages can well bop where ever they want to up to an extent.

Although Pariah did hit up every class when I first played in Open Beta of SoA days. Didnt like the Champ or Guardian and hated LM for the first 10 levels. Eventually sitting on my Hunter and making Ariess my alt which didnt get played until way way late in the game time of my gaming history.

As to the OP original Question and Concern. I do not know either why we dont have something like that. I mean the way they explain Focus is up that ally but we dont have a skill that does the bonuses Aim does for the Burglar.

I doubt we will see it and honestly all in all with what we have issues with on the class I would more rather see the existing issues fixed than to give us a new skill that will eventually probably come across the issue line as we are now.

Exception to the New Skill Statement: Expansion Release. With an expansion I only hope we get something to play with.

Not much of a "hunter", but that was a great show. Have you seen anything he's done since then? Ugh.. I've seen a couple things he's been post-Highlander in and they've been terrible!

The Breed I watched. Thought that movie was the worst vampire movie I ever saw. Then it felt like Highlander all over again cept Adrian didnt have a Katana in hand.

He did a show for a while. Tracker I think it was. Caught an episode or two. Didnt like the show.

In turn he came back to do Highlander 5: The Source which was a complete waste of time. One thing Highlander has always failed at. Near Future story. It hasnt worked EVER. Possibly in the animated movie but thats it.

Highlander = Great Movie!
Highlander The Quickening = Is this even Highlander anymore?
Highlander The Final Dimension = Good but feels like a rehash of Highlander cept Kane instead of Kurgan for a villian.
Highlander Endgame = To me this is a true sequal to Highlander and meshes into the series in a good way.
Highlander The Source = What the living **** were they thinking?
