Thread: Dance Emotes

    Dance Emotes

I've heard a rumor that all of the festival dance /emotes were designed for partner-dancing. Is this true? *and* should anyone know, can anyone let me in on the secret of placing the avatars in the right place so that dancing looks synchronized and the chars don't "run into each other" or simply mesh together? That doesn't make much sense, but hopefully someone will be able to translate ><

    Re: Dance Emotes

Come to Ales and Tales and we'll give you some lessons in dancing! We generally do some partner and group dancing. I wrote up a blog entry about it some time ago here:

    How to /dance_elf

Also an entry on group dance here:

    Group Dancing Explained

I don't think I mentioned about /dance_man in those articles. In that dance, both partners face the same direction with the gent on the left. Then start the emote at the same time. If you mistime it, watch the pattern and restart when it cycles. If two gents or lasses are dancing together, they need to face the opposite direction, side by side. So for gents--right shoulders together, lasses--left shoulders together.
