I'm looking for two words here, sry if it's too easy or too hard (I'll give hints) it's my first time :P
Gratz Chiolas! Good job finding all of those names.

Just for the record, the title of this thread is "One-word Tolkien Trivia".
The idea is to post one word only for the riddle. The answer can be any number of words but the "riddle" should be only one word.

As you said, this is your first time so we will just continue on and answer your riddle.

I have a guess: DAGNIR GLAURUNGA (or Glaurung's Bane)
These two words were among some others that were carven into the stone that was placed on top of the high mound where Turin was buried.

    Thanks for the explanation^^

This riddle was supposed to be a trick :P On the other topic the answer to my riddle (and also with 2 words) is Dagor Dagorath, where Túrin's curse would be lifted by Morgoth's death. But that curse was laid upon Húrin and his family so that answer would not be the most correct.

The curse I was talking about was in fact the one laid by Glaurung and that was indeed the correct answer, congrats to seeing through it

Not Smaug's stuff but you are getting geographically close to the origin of this stuff.

That is not the right answer but it is the right thinking.

Note that this is a word-play type of riddle, as most of the one-word variety end up being.

No. I am looking for a specific time where poison is used, but there are three other similar instances that I will ask for as a bonus question.

    Well... let's see...

    Shelob stinging Frodo...

The spiders in Mirkwood doing likewise to Thorin's company...

Celebrían receiving a poisoned wound in the Redhorn pass...

Ungoliant (if I recall right) poisoning the two trees...

    Re: One-word Tolkien Trivia

A reminder of how this category of trivia is supposed to work.
    From the OP:

"One word with a question mark should lead to only one answer.
    I'll start.

    Fatherless?"

    http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...Tolkien-Trivia

Just trying to keep us on track...if we don't remember how this is supposed to work it ends up being a game of "guess what I am thinking and here is a clue".
