    The Meaning of Haste

Greetings from the Meaning of Haste!

Founded in May 2007, we are a mature kinship that prides itself on experiencing all the content LOTRO has to offer in a structured yet fun-loving environment.

We have about 40 very active members and have raided regularly and successfully since the earliest days of Helegrod. We've had our ebbs and flows like everyone else, but we have stayed active for going on six years now and plan to remain that way 'til we see the fires of Mount Doom.

We are always on the lookout for good players and good people to join our team. What do we look for? People with a sense of humor and a willingness to help their kinmates who want to tackle tough challenges with a positive attitude. We expect our members to show respect not only to each other but the Arkenstone community at large.

Bottom line, we try to run this kin like a family and are looking for people who are team-oriented and looking to build solid relationships.

We are currently beating all the Erebor raids on tier 2 (some on challenge). We're also active in small group content and pvp.

Our raids are designed to give everyone a fair shot at group spots and loot. Signups are open to all kin members and filled on a rotation system. Loot is distributed through a dkp system.

If you want to check us out, visit tmoh.guildlaunch.com or message an officer in-game. Some of them are girls even and will talk to you in vent using their sexy voice.

We are currently aggressively recruiting at nearly every class spot. Hope to hear from you!

    Re: The Meaning of Haste

I clearly want to state for the record that just because I'm a Champion and my recruitment Officer is a Champion does not mean we will welcome Champions and give cold shoulders to lesser classes.

    At all. Honest.

I could take on more of the tanking load. But in my own defense, I don't want to.

Oh, no. I get far too much amusement out of your squeals of excitement during my 20% BoWs. Combine that with To Arms/Oathbreakers/Reveal Weakness, over Vent, and my day is complete.

Now, if Drover starts squealing, you might have some competition.

And he was being modest! Yes, good old Cord never embellishes! Great chap, that.

Still looking for players! Lore-masters, Burglars and Captains are some pretty hot goodness right about now.

    Re: The Meaning of Haste

Just posting here to say that we have an open Watcher run planned for April 11th on our website's calendar. Feel free to hop over to www.themeaningofhaste.net/calendar and create an account, a character and sign up! The system is pretty simple but has a couple hoops to jump through (setting your level, class, radiance, etc.), but is very organized and structured. Come check it out! Any questions, feel free to post here!

Hi, Cord. (you know you all want to say hi, too)

We should also host an Open DN run so other people can experience Tib yelling, 'PEE!' every couple of seconds.

Ahh, pee. From Helchgam's killing pee-water to Thaurlach's in-room plumbing system that, for some reason, the builders of Nurz Ghashu saw fit to not cover or shield, to Sixteenth Hall's, and ultimately DN's, puddles and explosions of pee.

To say nothing of Thaurlach's and The Blind One's Stickies, Halloween Eyes, the Pheramones, Puffballs, and Rim-jobs of raids.

We're an inventive and classy sort. No, really!

    Re: The Meaning of Haste

We've had a lot of really great Recruits lately! Haste is still on the prowl, and Lore-masters, Captains and Burglars are in our sights, and we're interested in Minstrels and Hunters as well!

Swing over to www.themeaningofhaste.net to check us out. Feel free to take some time and register a forum account and calendar account and browse our upcoming activities in April.

You can reach any of the following Officers on the forums or ingame for more information or any questions you have: Bobion, Tibernoft, Illandrae, Drover, Rigel.

We hope to see you in pugs, GLFF and our open-signup Watcher run for April 11th! Just watch out for that Vaxxstachio guy, he bites.

    Re: The Meaning of Haste

The Meaning of Haste is celebrating its third anniversary! Three years on May 6th, Haste has kept going and pounding raids, maintaining fairness and consideration for all players, holding weekly Officer Meetings, and above all, having stupid amounts of fun.

/salute to our Founder, Celyana the Beloved!

/salute to old Hasties since gone!

    /salute to our forum host!

/salute to Arkenstone and its awesome community!

/salute to The Meaning of Haste's Officers, who've ceaselessly worked their butts off and spent several hours at a time in meetings figuring it all out!

/salute to current Hasties, still living the dream!

Remember, Hasties, it's up to us and only us to follow Shadowfax's fine example at Gandalf's request... to show Arkenstone The Meaning of Haste!

    /salute!
