This one time, on Vilya warden channel, we got to talking about "the"
thread with the champion(s). When Fredecar brought up the "Steve
is a banal Chuck Norris knock-off meme", myself and Bel agreed it was
bananas. However, now I am beginning to see the value of the PSF.
Also, if Steve wanted to he could have flourished impressively for an
amazing taunt on jeedai and sauron setting up a javelin of deadly force.

And to clarify, he isn't a Norris knockoff, although another warden out there started a thread similar to that theme maybe after a month after he showed up.

A decent number were good too. I still laugh when I think of "The trait 'Virtuous Elf' only applies to those who have not met Steve."

"this s*** is bananas...." and so on and so forth, I don't remember the lyrics.

Yeah, that was me. Haha. I was bored that day. Though I think the particular one you reference was another poster. It might have been me though -- it was a while back. :P

Side note: My boredom is really the only reason I ended up on the PSF side. Ever since, I just decided to be consistent.

I have the complete list (including the names of the owners of each fact) saved on my hard drive, actually so it's not lost.

We currently stand at 26 facts.

I have to wonder though, did you ever save the ASF list?

There was one? I can't recall one, but it might have been posted during that Winter stretch I was absent. It's only fair that I save it- do you remember the thread title (or have some linkage)?

    And Steve can't die. He's a waden.

I think it was on the same thread as the Steve list, but don't quote me on that.

I am fairly certain there is some evidence that Steve is actually a Preying Mantis, masquerading as a Grass Hopper. That being true it is highly unlikely that he was eaten by a Panther Cameleon. If Steve had been ingested it was only so he could pull off the ultimate ambush and make the cameleon explode like a Seagull eating dry rice!

I hate this thread. This is the worst derail ever, and you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

If he was the Preying Mantis from Sunday, then he too was eaten as well. And the Chameleon chews his food

If he was indeed ingested then he still wins because Steve will definitely cause fatal indigestion!

While I agree with the second part, he isn't a preying mantis. In fact, the opposite is true: the Preying Mantis is his enemy, as that's what he originally showed up to fight.

Re: Man so much to learn

A perfectly timed Cracked article, posted today. I'll reproduce number three in the list of 5 Animals That Are Terrifyingly Hard to Kill

    #3. Zombie Bugs

The tree weta is a mix between a giant cockroach, a cricket and everything that is wrong with the world. They typically live in holes in the ground, or crevices in trees, so thankfully they're one of those things that you can avoid by never going outside.

Great! So How Do I Kill It?

The tree weta has a special protein in their blood that prevents water from freezing, allowing them to go into a deep freeze and still have their blood flowing when they wake back up.

And forgive us for our candor, but so ****ing what?

When we call our girlfriend in to kill bugs for us, she doesn't usually put them in the refrigerator. It's like a bug with an auto-coat. Good for it. As long as it fits neatly beneath a shoe while we scream in the corner, we're good.

"Is it dead? Should I call the police?"

Ah, but you know us: We're like M. Night Shyamalan without the pretension--there's always a twist. They're not just resistant to freezing, their brains and hearts actually completely die when frozen, then somehow recover good as new when thawed out.

It dies, and then it lives again.

    It is undead.

That's right, zombies are technically real. God apparently didn't think they were freaky enough on their own, so he shaped them like giant cockroaches too.

    Braaaiiiins!
Missing the wings... but those pictures look awfully familiar.
