    Re: Virtue Traits Discussion

NCPR doesnt help prevent a wipe, and surviving is what captains do best.

Tolerance looks nice for BG, though I wonder if Tolerance is always better than Fidelity. In BG there is a lot of shadow damage, though im not certain whether it is tactical or a melee dmg type like how we use beleriand scrolls on our weapons. I guess you have to know what bosses do tactical damage and which you need specific mitigation for.

I focus more on the will/fate side, so my traits are:

    Loyalty - Wisdom - Idealism - Valour - Honesty

    Re: Virtue Traits Discussion

Personally i dropped Justice a long time ago and have found no need for it.
It may be good for leveling to 65 but after i think it is a waste.

    Honestly
    Loyalty
    Idealism
    Valor
    Empathy

Those are some of the main ones i use. I may moving them around slightly but this is the core for me.

Justice just does not cut it anymore. You get more out of discipline with its mitigation and might for survivability then you do with justice. Same goes for Empathy and you get 15 fate for your ICPR.

Lets put it this way, with decent gear and self buffs (no food) i am running with 8500 morale and 3300 power, 1.1k icpr. I have yet to have any issues with lack of morale, or power when raiding with pugs or kin

Justice has not been very usefully since SoA days.
It is so easy for captains to get moral its not even funny.
I am running with 8K moral and 3.5k power with 1.2K ICPR.
I do not have any of the new mirkwood jewelry on it and i doubt i will upgrade many of my current peaces.
I usually slot Valor, Empathy, Loyalty, Honesty, Idealism
I may switch Empathy out for Wisdom in raid situations, as Captains are being moved more toward off healing now, and if things go bad go with Innocence, but i will never go back to Justice. It is just not worth it. I mean 60 ICMR? Is that going to do anything for you?
The moral, i mean once you hit 8K what is another 140 (would be like 200 after buffs).
If you are taking damage, then Innocence or even Discipline are much better choices as they will keep you alive longer then Justice will.
60 ICMR for someone who is running at 1.2K ICMR is 5% additional ICMR. In other words, about the same boost to ICMR as you're getting in Melee Damage reduction from Innocence. (Actually you're getting less Melee Dmg. Reduction from Innocence since they changed the formulae.)

It all depends on what kind of role you're playing, what kind of damage you're expecting, and where your weak areas are.

Now if there were any ICPR traits, I'd be all over them....

He said 1.2k icPr. 1.2k ICMR would be insane, guards traiting justice rarely go far beyond 900 icmr. But, comparing %s is faulty, 5% of 4 is not the same as 5% of 30.
