Cinco de Bumpo. Donde esta el bano? En los pantalones.

Apologies to anyone who can actually speak spanish correctly lol.

Been having a blast with the new instances, tho not to farm tokens for gear. We all have lives and aren't going to spend the next 6 months grinding for 2 pieces of side-grade beef lol.

If you love to play in a dedicated casual way (yes, that makes sense) then check us out!

Lol I know, nothing like skirmishes to grind for tokens while grinding instance for tokens while waiting for twice a week cooldowns to farm other instances for tokens....and this is what replaced radiance...yaaayyy.....lol. Grind annoyances aside, I do like the new stuff if anything it's a nice change of scenery.

Welcome to all our new members this week, fresh meat for the grinder...err grinding....welcome aboard!

Always looking for more people to join the slightly disturbing fun. Could use a Lore-Master or 2.

Space filler space filler space filler yet some more. Why? taking up space so I can slap the new ad on top of the next page too. I'm strange like that. But, seeing as most people don't bother to read through several years of bumps and pages and only read the most recent page, and we're just a post away from page 5 I hereby use the power invested in me by the Lotro Forums to post a reply. Power tripping, I know. Comes with the territory.

    Continued on the next page...

    (sometimes I worry about me)

We do not currently have any EU members but do have quite a few members who usually run during the days US time. We also have several Aussies and nightowls who run with them. We even have some Canadians - everyone needs some bacon in their lives!

Summer bump! Lot of great new members over the last few months who have survived the sarcastic initiation. Always looking for more slightly off-kilter people who enjoy helping others while laughing and enjoying the game.

Current class focus: Minstrels, Rune-Keepers, and Lore-Masters

Check out our expanded and shiny website for more info and to apply!

Anniversary Bump! Today on the 4th of July we celebrate Will Smith's victory over the oppressive alien overlords as well as our gaming organization's 12th year together and our Lotro Chapter's 2nd anniversary of semi-organized mayhem! Thanks to everyone who came to our party and concert this past saturday, we hope you all had as much fun drinking and blowing stuff up as we did.

/salute and Happy 4th of July!

    Re: Shadows of Eriador

One month til Risengard! Summer vacation is over, the kids are back in school and the grownups are back in game - have been having a blast teaching our new members old content and old members the new content! I love pre-xpac ramp up, all the whiners spout the same gloom and doom about the game getting screwed up by the new content (the same tools that whine when there isn't new content) - they're the ones that fail and fade away which leaves the game to those of us who have weathered every xpac since day 1 and are still going strong.

Want to play the best damn MMO around with like-minded players that have a blast regardless of where we are or who we're killing? Want to learn the whole game and not just the mindless drudgery of farming the same raid 200 times? Have a sense of humor coupled with a sense of honor? Check us out. Actions speak louder than blurbs.

Turkey Bump! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, be safe, pig out, enjoy some football and get yer Lotro on.

Recruiting is picking up again as we get into the winter months and prepare for Update 5 and the Tower of Orthanc raids (otherwise known as the missing meat from the Isengard expansion lol). All classes are still welcome but current needs are Captains and Lore-Masters.

December Bump - Big news on the SoE front! 1st, BIG GRATS to our very own Beldrieth who has had a majorly awesome multi-part Lotro story published on A Casual Stroll to Mordor! Read up and see how awesome awesome truly is.

    http://www.casualstrolltomordor.com/...-hobbitpart-1/

2nd, we now have a highly addictive and fun group on Facebook to compliment our ginormous web presence on www.ShadowLotro.com - however only members can see the debauchery that can accompany Farmville.

Level 41 mini looking for an active kin that treats its lower leveled members just as equally as the higher leveled members.
Unfortunately, all the lowbie friendly kinships that I've come across are horribly desolate.
Your website makes Shadows of Eriador just the kind of kinship I'm looking for.
Who can I contact, in game, about joining the kin?

    Re: Shadows of Eriador

Aye we respect our lowbies as much as our capped - we were all lowbies once. Look for myself or any of our officers (Caylia, Feristahl, Twizzle, Timate, Eowaith) in game or apply online at our site www.ShadowLotro.com

Several questions come up as far as Kins that use applications - why bother, who are we keeping out, looks elitist, etc etc.
We use applications to manage our roster and to give everyone a wide range of tools on our site. Be they forum posts, blogs, pictures, etc each member has these abilities once welcomed into SoE. You can gather all of your toons under one player umbrella which makes your use of the site more rewarding and it makes it a lot easier for us to manage. In a nutshell, it's a really good tool to show everyone that we at SoE recruit the players, not just the characters.

    /salute!

    Re: Shadows of Eriador

The time has come to take a break. I'm calling it the "Active Sabbatical" lol. Since I have 2 Lifetime accounts I can still hop in anytime I want and I will. But for now it's time to set aside my online distractions and focus on my health, family, and work. This winter has been pretty rough on my old injuries and I've been finding it harder and harder to sit in front of the 'puter for very long without them bugging me.

It really sucks since I've been playing Lotro since before launch and am one of the only Founders left on the entire server. It's been a great long 5 year run and of course I'll be popping in regularly to make sure SoE is still on top as the single best group of human beings on the internet. I've made amazing friendships that have lasted - and will last - for years and I've agonized over this decision for several months now. I've sunk over 6 months of /played time, hundreds and hundreds of dollars (and countless offline hours as a diplomat, web designer, artist, manager, crisis counselor, confessor, and raving lunatic) into this game and it's very hard to walk away even if it's just a few steps to the side. But I know the time has come and it's time for new adventures out in that highest res of MMO's called reality.

I will be appointing Brad (aka Feristahl) as my successor, and I know that I leave the kin in very capable hands and will be assisting him in the transition so I expect everyone to treat him with the same awe and respect you gave me (so....very little ) as SoE moves into our 12th year as a gaming organization. He has been learning the ropes of leading since I dragged him into DAoC many years ago and I have complete faith in his abilities to keep the family not only together but growing and prospering. And since he's my cousin I'll be watching most of it over his shoulder until he stops freaking out at how hard it REALLY is herding cats lol.

So, for now, I /salute and /thank you all as I hop on my keg-bearing Ale Association goat named DUI and wander (stagger?) off into the sunset...for now.

    *Bows*

You are, and shall always be, the Eternal President to our Virtual North Korea, and nobody will be allowed to forget or not know that SoE has been the product of your tireless dedication over many years, and several different MMOs. I have watched you, good sir, as you have endeavored to make this a great, supportive, and homely environment for our friends/kinmates, and you will ever be awarded the appreciation due to a Leader that has not only lead, but genuinely cared, about us all. I am honored to be your successor, and only hope that I can do you, and this kin, honor in the coming days.

    ./Hail Arkhon
