Can't say for certain as I don't have either one. However, I'll note one is a Stangard horse, and one is a captured Easterling horse (from the same faction that gives out petrified Stone-trolls and Easterling hauberks). And there's a horse that's rather prevalent around Stangard, and another that's present in large numbers at the one big Easterling camp. Further, I'll note that the long-suspected rep horses for Theodred's Riders and Men of Dunland finally made it in, and were indeed the ones loitering in their main camps. So if I had to guess...

Take it with a grain of salt, though. A guess is just a guess.

Re: Show us your favorite cosmetic outfit

His father, Eol, prefered darkness of his woods to the eternal light of Valinor. His mother, Aredhel, was known as the White Lady of the Noldor, a beam of light in Eol's dark woods. But their son didn't inherited her inner light, nor her good qualities of character. Although his figure was fair and his words were pleasant to hear, his soul was full of darkness. Alas, it happens sometimes- a bad example is infectious. Many ages have passed since the Fall of Gondolin, but immortals and mortals alike utter his name with contempt and hate. For he is Maeglin. The Traitor.

I always imagined him like this - he was not strong like Ectelion, nor was he brave like Glorfindel. But he was cunning and agile. He preferred a silent knife and poison to swords, bows and spears. He chose comfortable, dark clothes over heavy armor. But in the end, it didn't save him from Tuor's ire.

To be honest, I feel sorry for him. Poor, lost soul...

I just love all those daggers and knifes in this outfit - gloves, boots, etc.

Tawarwaith Hat of Knowledge ( T6 crafted)
Shoulders of Drinking( Moria quest "In his memory"), black
    Plain Cloak, black
Frostbluff Robe of Thanks (winter festival), black
Lesser Secret of the West Gauntlets (Ost Dunhot barter), black
Fine Grey Company Boots (epic quest reward)

Basically any Tier 7 crafted medium chestpiece. Be it the Dunlending one or the Theodred's or (so far as we know) even the Great River one that'll be in Monday's update.

How do you guys come up with so many varieties of outfits? Do you do it by trial and error? Because a whole lot of the outfits are downright amazing.

It's mostly from experience - lots and lots of time spent looks at outfits, always trying on every piece of armour that comes my way (even if it's just a trash drop), keeping different styles in mind (elven vs dwarven vs human, etc), the non-dyable colors of each piece, etc.

It's something fortuitous, often the most succeceful outfits are made accidently. It just strike you - "Oh, my, in this armor my character looks like ... All I need is to find matching gloves etc." Also I keep the most beautiful pieces of armor in the vault, it's a great help when looking for pieces for an outfit.

I still say that you have some pretty nifty thing going on here; I know pretty well I lack that fashion/image awareness in regards to cosmetic outfits for my guy.

    Oh cool. Thanks. *thumbs up!*
Guess I should've known, since my main toon is a westfold tailor. *blush!*
But I haven't really been concentrating on making any medium armour of late, since I don't have any high enough level toons who wear medium armour who can wear that armour piece yet. All my tailor crafting has been of light armour for my loremaster and runekeeper.

Looks like I can't use this as a cosmetic on any toons I have yet then.
But it's interesting to think of for future reference.
    Thanks for the helpful reply.

Patch day! What better way to spend the downtime than browse some outfits. Plus, I'm pretty excited about the updates I have scheduled this week over at the blog, so thought I'd share

I call this one "Master Locksmith". As always, please click here for more pics and the list of pieces.

I'm excited to see the Great River region, along with very nice rewards!
I've always imagined elven culture as a mix of celtic and slavonic cultures, and in the Tolken's world one sees those elements everywhere ) So, it's an Elf- traveller. In long and perilous travels it's important to have comfortable clothes, not too notisable in the environment and beautiful at the same time, bearing the memory of your home.

    The first one:

The second one, I've changed the chest piece, the cloak and added gloves.

The Stangard rep mount and outfit look good but the easterling set looks bad. Both the easterling outfit and mount both look painted on. The cloth drapes off the rohirrim horse. It looks like it flows and looks more natural. The cloth on the easterling mount looks like it's painted onto the horses body. The same for the easterling outfit. It's too busy and looks like one flat texture. It looks very fake. They've made tunics that have multiple over lying textures that don't look so flat. Not impressed with the easterling stuff but the Stangard stuff gets two thumbs up.

Re: Show us your favorite cosmetic outfit

As you might know, the champion's Draigoch armor defauts to rose dye. Pink champions, yes-siree. Of course you can dye it, but somehow that just don't seem right. Too easy I guess. And besides, gotta show solidarity with my fellow meat-grinders.

There is only one condition. If I am to be a pink champion... I will have a skirt.

Now, pink isn't really my thing. Nor are skirts, really. But being back in Lorien, seeing the ever-feminine Galadriel, not to mention running around with Nona and Noriel... eh. Maybe pink's not so bad. Might even come in handy in this new region, I thought.

And I was right, too. Oh boy, and how.

Ah, the Brown Lands. Everything here is brown. The ground is brown. The plants are brown. The people are brown. Even the very AIR is brown. Everything is dead and barren, the gardens long since abandoned to ruin. With such poor visibility and uniformity of color in the surroundings, one has to wear something bright just to not lose sight of their own hands, let alone their comrades. Being pink in a land of brown has its benefits! If nothing else, perhaps it helps cheer up these lifeless lands.

Not that I'm helping the lifelessness much.

    Nor, apparently, is the pink.

There was this champ who stepped into the moors and immediately ported out again, to get some dye quick ... did you notice how nice a man looks in the set's leggings ? *wiggles it*

Yep, you can get it near the beginning of the region.

I'm nearly to Rushgore (?) and I've found the amount of decent cosmetics to be extremely lacking! Somewhat of a disappointment. It's mostly been hideous helms or old-style armour and robes. Some funny names though. :P

I did in fact notice those leggings. They have some rather, um, unfortunate dimensions. Not so bad from the side, but from behind?

That's part of why I opted for the skirt, though it really started because I got it first.

    And before I forget again:

Chest: [armour]Chestplate of the Relentless Fighter[/armour]
Legs: [armour]Leg-guards of the Killing Blow[/armour] (Though they use the appearance from the [armour]Leggings of Durin's Guard[/armour])
Shoulders: [armour]Epaulets of the Relentless Fighter[/armour]
Gloves: [armour]Gauntlets of the Relentless Fighter[/armour]
Boots: [armour]Boots of the Relentless Fighter[/armour]
    Back: Sturdy Elven Quiver
    Head: [armour]Lesser Helmet of Dúngost[/armour]

    All dyed rose.

I can tell you why, too. Some of the pieces are using the cosmetic of the Mirkwood PvMP armor, but many more are actually using cosmetics from the Evendim armor sets. The Evendim sets have very little difference from older sets, the main one being dye combinations and the chest pieces being decorated with Arnorian stars.
