question on the 7 dwarven rings..

well not really about all of them becuase i think someone said something about them being destroyed or lost. but i did have 1 question: did durin the deathless (or the famous durin whom maid moria...ect.) have one of the 7rings? or did tolkien never say?

I can't say for certain, but being King of the Longbeards strongly says "yes".

oh and another thing i know saroun was looking for them but what would he do with them after he recived them? certanley the dwarf using the ring would be dead by the time it was found.

Keep them. Perhaps distribute them later. Besides, Sauron put in a lot of effort into helping make them.

Durin I ("The Deathless") would have been long dead before the forging of the Rings of Power. However, his descendant Durin III did receive one of the seven dwarf rings.

Of this Ring something may be said here. It was believed by the Dwarves of Durin's Folk to be the first of the Seven that was forged; and they say that it was given to the King of Khazad-dûm, Durin III, by the Elven-smiths themselves and not by Sauron, though doubtless his evil power was on it, since he had aided in the forging of all the Seven.

Because he lived an incredibly long life, even for a dwarf. And, if I remember correctly, it was believed that each of the subsequent Durin's was actually Durin I reincarnated, rather than his descendants (because they were so much like him).
