Thumbs up "The Hunt for Gollum" fan movie

This is an exellent fan movie, one of the best I have seen. It explains how gollum was captured by Strider inside the mountain.

I watched it - not bad for 40 minutes including credits and a budget apparently of about 4000 British Pounds. The main actors were decent casts although Gandalf was a little to much a hobo instead of a wanderer for my taste. You can see much inspired by the PJ movies. Arwen was too much of a porcelain doll and not really needed in the movie. Fight scenes were well done, I would have like more dialog and less wandering in the woods even if it was Aragorn having to listen to Gollum ramble on, fuss, beg, threaten, act all nice and so on. I'd be all for these people making some more short features, stories from the Silmarillion or the LOTR Appendices.

Or better yet maybe a live action version of some of LOTRO's stories.
