There are always questions about subscription plans (especially any of the discounted options) so I thought I'd try to clear up some of the confusion.
The standard pricing for subscription fees are always available at the following rates:

$41.85 per 3 months
$77.70 per 6 months
$143.40 per 12 months
Founder's pricing is available for players who pre-ordered LOTRO prior to the original launch in April of 2007. These plans are always available for eligible players to switch between, and do re-occur as long as the account is not canceled. The Founder's Terms and Conditions can be found here.
Founder's pricing is available at the following rates:
$9.99 per month
$28.75 per 3 months
$55.75 per 6 months
$109.99 per 12 months
$199.00 Lifetime subscription - single payment (no longer available).
Please note that Founder's referral keys cannot be used to upgrade existing subscriptions, only to create new ones. Referral information can be found here, and the Referral Rules can be found here. Please note that in order to be eligible, you must have had Founder's pricing previously, and have an account that has remained active without pause. Cancellations or failed payments do remove access to Founder's pricing.
We have previously offered discounted Multi-Month pricing at various times. As with other discounted plans, a player can keep the selected plan as long as the subscription is not canceled. (Standard rates are listed in italics.):

We have previously offered special discounts at other times. There was a 3 month special price offered in December of 2007, as well as multi-month and Lifetime subscription discounts offered for our 1 Year Anniversary in April of 2008 and for Moria pre-orders in October/November of 2008. We have also previously offered $199.00 and $299.00 Lifetime subscriptions during certain periods. While these discounted prices are no longer available, any player who has one of these discounted plans can keep that plan as long as the subscription is not canceled.
