    Update Error NEED HELP

    Everytime i get to the update data bit before disconnect i get Update error cannot save data.. Ive tried all the Methods.. Firewalls admin BUT IT DOES NOT WORK. i need help my trial account is being wasted because of this.. Help please!
    im running windows XP

    And how much free space is there on the drive where LotRO is installed?
    Are you running on an account that has administrator priviledge?

    Sometimes this comes up if there is an XP account registry or permissions issue, one thing to try is to make a new XP user account (setup as a Computer Administrator) and logging into it to test the game from.

    Detailed steps from Microsoft are here*.

    (*They have you make a "Limited" account in those steps, when you get to the option to choose the account type select "Computer Administrator" instead).

    Once you've made the new XP admin, log off of your current one, and login to the new account and try launching the game there. (Don't use "Switch User" as it leaves both XP user accounts active though).

    After submitting that ticket be sure to log in to your email providers website directly. Check spam/bulk mail folders and add noreply@turbine.com; techsupport@turbine.com and accountsupport@turbine.com to their "safe senders" list and your contacts list/address book as well.
