    Re: Edhelharn Token use

When you have dread, you will know it. If you enter an instance or approach a mob with dread aura, your mini-map will get a glow around it and you will see a chunk of your morale bar turn red (on...

    Re: Sigil drop rate

Pretty much my experience as well, only found 3 leveling up.

To the OP, without knowing the drop rate, we can't calculate the likelihood of you (specific person) not getting any in a huge number...

Re: Where are the Sigil (ie Flake) dropper mobs?

LOL, Farming is the one profession you can't do in long semi-AFK sessions, at least the fields. You need to plant and then harvest one field at a time. (You can plant more than one, but they fade...

Re: Please Need help - Trollshaws or Evendim??

It strikes me that this is almost a perfect comparison between post-F2P and SoA in the comparison between Evendim and Trollshaws: explicit direction (no need to explore or search) convenient travel...
  5. Re: LoTRO only max level players will be able to visit Minas Tirith??

They've already got phasing technology with the RoI expansion. I don't see why they couldn't use this to provide two level ranges in the same area. (You'd see different quest NPCs in the same...

Re: Please... stop with the solo only instances

LOL, point when right over your head I guess. The complaint is not about "solo" quests, but "solo-ONLY" quests.

    And signed by the way.
  7. Re: The problem with vertical extensions such as RoI

Granted, I don't spend much time in the lowbie zones, but when I have gone through them, they're not empty. I suspect the real issue is a change in play style that came with the F2P crowd. People...

    Re: Tier 7 crafting

There is no level requirement for t7 crafting. (I took my level 58 Historian to Galtrev and was able to farm and "Scholar" just fine there.)
  9. Re: I wonder about the beta tester / qualitiy management

Yeah, I've mostly stopped beta testing for that reason. It's frustrating to search for and carefully report bugs only to have them not get fixed. (I can do that just as well after the game goes...

    Re: In hindsight ...

They did, at least to some extent. (I had some pre-downloaded patches applied.) I think the problem is that you need to go through the patcher to login, even once you're patched up.

    I'm not sure...
  11. Re: Rise of Isengard Update/Patching Discussion - OFFICIAL

True that! I made the mistake of closing the client because the login servers were down. When I restarted it, it's stuck waiting for the patch servers, when I know that I'm completely patched up. :(

    Re: Free play

This word is so flexible that any sentence that uses it as the main verb is lacking in content and can be ignored. (In fact, should be ignored.) :)
  13. Re: Stuck on "examine programs"

I was just able to fully patch up, in France.

However the login server appears to be down still ("Login Server Error").

Re: Why we don't want Bootcamp or wine stuff

IMHO, Bootcamp is just fine as a solution, and I would much rather they put the huge amount of effort it would take to build a Mac client into the game itself. Can you imagine how much more of a...

Re: What do you want removed from game?

Getting crippled after *every* warg fight, which is the most painful part of the Men of Enedwaith rep grind.

Re: What do you think of the in-game voice chat?

Like most, I leave it on in case I group with someone who wants to talk. Having a built-in voice chat helps a lot as its always available.

To me, the quality is fine, but I know a lot of people...

I think they should actually show up on the character (and have little or no stat benefit). That's why I was trying to think of places they could go and be visible (although I admit they would be...

    Re: Trinkets

This is an interesting idea, but I agree that it would be better for these to be cosmetically visible rather than going into secret slots. Maybe trinkets on a watch chain for Hobbits, pins on a sash...

Easy solution: strip accents when checking for profanity and existing or reserved names. I doubt that's the issue.
