  1. Yeah, it was T2.

    Yeah, it was T2.
  2. Instance Scaling and Fellowship Members of Different Levels?

Some kinmates and I were running the 3-man Erebor instances this evening, just for fun, as none of us had done them. There was a level 80, level 82, and myself, level 100. The leader set Iorbar's...

    Level 85 Jewelry and Cape

I recently hit level 85 after a long hiatus from the game, and I'm not sure what gear to aim for. I'll get the Protector set from Hytbold, but what jewelry and cape are best at level 85?
  4. Re: Isen made Ministrels Overpowered a lot a lot a lot

We certainly got a power boost, but aside from the about the first five seconds of a battle, we needed the power boost. Soloing on my min is fun again, while before I was plinking away with ballads...
  5. Re: Minstrel Legendary Traits or The use of Rally!

There's absolutely no reason to not have the SoS legacy and keep it up on two people all the time. It's low cost, no induction, and can be used on the move. With the legacy, it heals upwards of 1,000...

Re: The First Finale (Minstrel Blog #4)

To be similar to the Warden, each Anthem would require a specific string of Ballads played to use, and then it would clear them. This is something you set up and forget about if you want to.

Re: The First Finale (Minstrel Blog #4)

I think once people actually play with the new build, they won't find it complicated. Here's the basics:

    1) You play three ballads to play an Anthem.
    2) Once you have three Ballads up, new...

Re: The First Finale (Minstrel Blog #4)

Yes. The PoS Minstrel can keep up the same number of buffs in Orion's proposal, you just have to cast one every 5s. WoR Minstrels with Smooth Voice and Glorious Anthem can keep up 2 buffs under...

Re: The First Finale (Minstrel Blog #4)

This was one of same arguments I made for the loss of healing to PoS. But this seems to have been thrown out the window.

Absolutely. There's no room for "mastery," unless that's somehow...

Re: The First Finale (Minstrel Blog #4)

Orion said he's not too worried about this. This and a few other offhand comments make me think that big changes are coming in regards to everything. Think the Moria combat/stat changes, but times...

Re: The First Finale (Minstrel Blog #4)

The more I think about it the more I dislike the 15s max Anthem duration. If you make the duration too short, all we'll get to do is cast Anthems. You may call it a choice to keep up the max number...

Re: The First Finale (Minstrel Blog #4)

Fair enough, we'll see. But right now NC heals for 100ish each hit. Assuming I'm in Harmony, with a 30s NC CD, that's 600 morale per fellowship member each minute. The trait increases it to 750 (I'm...

Re: The First Finale (Minstrel Blog #4)

Overall I like the number changes. The smaller buffs from each of the Ballads should help ease power cost/healing output. The H&M buff being a straight passive is also a smart move. I am confused by...

Re: So much doom and gloom...

Solo Minstrels should be in a very good place after the update. With the ability to heal at full strength in Warspeech, power return options, updates to make Herald's Strike worthwhile again, and...

    Re: RIFT Casualty

I loved Rift for about the first 30 levels. The game is super-polished, the souls are well designed, the Rifts are fun, and trying different combinations is fun. Everything from there is downhill....

    Re: Hotfix on WhitMonday

Turbine now serves North America, Canada, the Oceanic countries, and now all of Europe. It's going to be impossible for them to schedule down times if they have to avoid every holiday in every...

Re: Minstrel Blog #2 is up - feedback away

What are we looking at: longer durations with a longer CD? I would rather be able to get Anthem CD down to 5s, but durations up to the old 30s (if 3-4PoS).

Re: Once again no new classes......

I think there's still room in the game for new mechanics, but I'm fine with their plans to revamp existing classes rather than introduce new classes. Frankly the last two expansions have resulted in...
  19. Re: Medallions of The North Men and T2 OD Armor

The grind for this armor is insane, especially since the T1 is no better than other armor options out there. Combined with the expansion in a mere three months and I don't see myself working on this...
  20. Re: Minstrel Blog Post is up - Feedback here and there is very welcome!

No, it's not 40%, however you look at it.

If you bother to read the rest of my post you would see that based on Orion's changes, it's actually easier to keep the buff up than before. You may...
  21. Re: Minstrel Blog Post is up - Feedback here and there is very welcome!

First of all, you're not increasing fellowship damage by 40%. That's not how math works. Assuming max legacies, you're increasing DPS by somewhere between 10-20%.

Second, I haven't healed OD, but...

Re: Minstrel Blog #2 is up - feedback away

I believe Constant Gardner said in MoM beta we didn't get them because we weren't a DPS class.
  23. Re: Minstrel Blog Post is up - Feedback here and there is very welcome!

What class have you been playing? Sure, it wasn't bad when it was just Ballad of War and casting AotFP. It got tedious when I traited Smooth Voice. And when I needed to keep all the T3 Ballads up it...
  24. Re: Minstrel Blog Post is up - Feedback here and there is very welcome!

Just look at the changes to NC/HS, the fact that we can keep all our buffs up all the time if we choose, the fact that we can heal in Warspeech now, or regain power. I'm not sure Orion will...
  25. Re: Minstrel Blog Post is up - Feedback here and there is very welcome!

If anything this update vastly expands what the small group and solo Minstrel can accomplish. Currently when I'm in a small group I feel gimped. After my buffs are up, I can either idle around...
