"The Necromancer of Mirkwood" RP campaign (VIDEOS!)
The Farmer looked surprised.
"Mirkwood? Why would you leave Bree-land and travel all the way to such a distant land?"
Lindeman replied: "I was discussing the place with a few adventurers and got a little carried away".

OOC:
In the same way as in Rialo's "Trip to Forochel" thread, I would like to let you know that my character Lindeman will be travelling from Bree to Mirkwood. I invite anyone who might be interested in RP to join in on the journey.
In practise I will be slowly advancing Lindeman towards the destination in-game and will do some instances on the way. The journey might take a full month in real life time, since there is no hurry and I'm not sure how often I will be playing. So the RP campaign has very much a "hop-on, hop-off" quality for anyone who might join.
The start of the journey will probably be within a few days. I tend to play evenings European time. The best way to follow progress might be my twitter, which is listed in my signature.
There is little other plot than the misguided idea about "capturing the necromancer", the travelling and some RP excuses that lead to doing instances such as Stand at Amon Sul, Bruinen Gorges and others. Once in Mirkwood, Volume 2 Book 9 can be done.
Lindeman is level 60, and it would make sense for others characters to be at least level 45. Players should make an effort to keep as much talk as possible In-Character.
You can let me know if you are interested and leave other feedback here or by in-game mail.

Genuinely sounds like a lot of fun, I'll be eager to get involved if possible now that my time's a little less occupied - though I probably ought to level a little.
Re: "The Necromancer of Mirkwood"
Lindeman and Grant sat in Bree-town Hunting Lodge.
Lindeman said: "Capturing the necromancer would bring great benefits to the free peoples. I marvel that no one has come forward to join the expedition."
Grant replied: "Captain, Sir, there are many who say these matters are not for the mortal man to pursue.
The road to Mirkwood is long, and the place is said to be swarming with creatures that devour themselves in extreme hunger.
On my many travels as your squire, I do not believe I have ever visited a place as deadly as Mirkwood."
He hesitated for a moment and continued: "If I may be so bold as to suggest something, perhaps the captain could re-consider whether the journey is worth while or whether the whole plan rose in the spur of the moment."
Lindeman made a dismissive gesture and replied: "There are some journeys that one must make."
Suddenly, Grant leaned forward and whispered: "Lindeman, look. I hope this is not about Jeric again. You have to understand that nothing can bring him back. It does not help if the necromancer can resurrect people. We don't have Jeric's body. No one knows where it is."
Lindeman toyed with his dagger, acting as if he had not heard a word. He pressed the blade against his palm until skin broke and a tiny amount of blood came out.
Finally he looked at Grant, but not in the eyes. He spoke with a flat voice:
"I hold all adventurers in Bree to be cowards. Prepare my horse and send forth my heralds. I shall ride to Mirkwood with or without help from others. And I shall return to Bree with the necromancer, or I shall perish while trying."
He rose and marched out of the Lodge.
OOC:
This journey is finally about to begin, months after originally planned.
The new timing is such that I move from Bree to Mirkwood in a few days. I'll start this Friday and come online every day and try to do instances etc. that are on the way. In Mirkwood, I plan to do Volume 2, Book 9. By the end of next week these sessions should be over.
My online times will be daytime or evenings European time.
I'll be looking for fellowships in globallff and other relevant channels for the instances, but you can also let me know here if you wish to join or contribute in some way.
