Actually it was just a joke about how late his news was, not intended to open old wounds that none of us were alive for. I'm still bitter about the Battle of Jaxartes myself...

Anyway...It's cool we can go into the depths of Isengard, i was hoping for that, but I sort of expected that to be the next instance cluster. I wonder where that will take us now.
Would also be interested in what the new crafting nodes are and look like, what new items we can craft, and what the new tier is, etc.

Was also a joke on my part, though my great grandparents often talked like that ( I live in Florida where you can still see library shelves on the civil war named Northern Aggression). Possibly, but apparently you get 3 S4M per classic with the daily, so it's not that bad for a pseudo raid set.

No they don't. The Itemization diary said that S4Ms will drop in solo, small fellowship and basically every skirmish/instance set at L75 that rewards marks.

Depends on how many 6-12 man classics at 75 there are? ( I assume that just means GB?) and how many you get per run. Sounds like a lot to me, but perhaps not as bad as OD gear.

On second look...browsing through the diary again, maybe I was wrong. It DOES say that soloers can purchase S4Ms but it says nothing about them actually dropping in solo skirmishes. Huh.

V4Ms and 4Ms can be traded in with a large number of SMs for them, which is probably what they meant. HOWEVER. It says Challenges always award S4Ms which includes Sch/Lib and such. If you will notice, the tooltip is identical to S3Ms except it says 75 not 65.

Bullroarer will not be opened up and neither will the forums unless you get an invitation to join the beta. Turbine might open it up for everyone at some point closer to the release of RoI, but I would not count on it.

If you solo, you will need to barter SM for S4M. The price is about 5.5k SM for 1 S4M. Happy soloing

Not really, you can get more than one S3M in a instances as it is. A bit of a grind but we can manage I think.
Will undoubtedly be hard on those who barter in real skirm marks for them though.

Clear implication that S4M wont drop in solo, instead it is said that group players will get S4M in any instance space (for groups)
Sounds like a potential draconian grindfest to me, potential as I dont know how SM will barter into S4M.
3rd mark to veterans 3rd mark is like 2200 marks for ideas, so best do it in group and avoid it.

Yea, I calculated it 528k for 4 parts through solo. Only the most insane would endure that. There was a thread back in the official discussion forum on itemization where people including me argued how much the set should be to get for solo. I was way way milder then turbine and I dont think soloers appreciated my ideas then. I dont want to even know what they are thinking now.
