    UI Elements vs Screen Resolution

I'm slowly getting frustrated with the sheer number of UI elements we have and the fact that many of them seem to serve no purpose or only have a purpose for certain portions of the game.

What makes it worse is the maximum resolution of my monitor is 1440x900, which isn't the worst resolution size but does make the screen a little cluttered. When i press shift+\ to move the elements about it just looks like a mess of semi-opaque boxes which i find hard to decipher, and even harder to fit without overlapping, and then i go and do something and find a new element that doesn't show up in shift+\ until you're performing a task and have to mess around with it again.

I thought reducing the scale of the UI might help, but making most things much smaller than 90% makes them unreadable for me.

    So a couple of questions;
    1. Has anyone who uses 1440x900 got any tips of where to put things?
    2. Is there a list of all the UI elements and what they actually do?
    3. Does anybody have a list of elements that only show in shift+\ when certain actions are being performed and what those actions are?
    4. Are there any UI elements that just aren't used for anything any more and can be "shoved off the edge of the screen"?
    5. How do i reset the UI to default if i mess up?

I totally agree that the amount of UI elements is getting out of control. Even at 1920x1080 it gets hard to put all the stuff so it doesn't overlap, like the raid member unit frames, escort units, target vitals etc. without putting some of them in the middle of your screen, especially since there are so many combinations they can appear.
First time I did Draigoch I almost screwed the first maneuvers because stuff was overlapping the conjunction display.

I'm afraid not, they all seem to have some purpose.
But many of those could be combined, IMHO.
Why do we need separate unmount button positions for stable mounts, regular mounts and warsteeds, when you definitely can only use one at a time?
Or why would I want to drag around 3 escort unit frames separately? Rather give us some useful layout option, like horizontal/vertical and we're good.

It's plain annoying, i never really noticed before because i was pretty much pootling lalong solo and didn't have to use half of the elements so never even noticed they're there, but now i'm doing more group content and such and simply getting to the point where more of those elements come into pay i can see how much of a mess it all is.

Is it possible to simply move the tool bar and menus to the right of the screen instead of slap bang in the middle on the bottom? Just doing that would make a world of difference to me.

I think you can with a custom skin, but I'm really no skinning expert.
But many skins require that you edit this element in order to place it properly:

    Code:
    <Element ID="ToolbarField" X="..."
